2020 and 2021 really trashed my usual earnings rate (on FRA-NYC pretty much only fly UA P, instead of taking TP/AC/SK and getting 200%).
Oh, and of course I burned 150k for 2 seats on FRA-HND-LAX in Jan as I mentioned earlier :P
Let's hope 2022 will be better. Now that I can finally afford flying C (out of my own pocket), I want those 200%

Edit: on a different note, I will probably be posting more cancelation experiences next month, since the beautiful itinerary I booked late last summer for early July this year isn't happening
(1-2 flights already got canceled from the operating airline, other have ha schedule changes but will also most likely be canceled, since there's a travel ban where I was going to fly to...

Refund data point
I was going to cancel these tickets myself anyway, but I waited a bit and the flights got canceled from the airlines (since nobody is allowed to enter Indonesia), so I was spared the cancelation fees and asked for a refund on June 28th via the refund firm online. I think the miles got refunded yesterday, so on the 14th day, still waiting on the €€€ 😏.
Edit: Turns out the €€€ got refunded just 1-2 days later (transactions shows up as July 13th), so basically just over 2 weeks. Nice.
Edit2: The e-mails stating that the refunds were processed and that the money was refunded just came in, 6 days after the money had already shown up. Wth... others wait like 30 days after getting those e-mails (might have something to do with my payment method, a greek credit card).

Normally these things would get processed quickly because there's not a long queue of cancellations. It's different now and they have, if anything, fewer staff to deal with it. Frustrating for you, but not surprising or shady.

I am familiar with the sweet spot FRA-HND-LAX flights in F you can book with Aegean. However, is there something similar which does not land in the US? I can't seem to find something to a Canadian city or a South American city.
The reason I want to avoid the US is because of their entry restrictions if you have visited some of their "blacklisted" countries (eg Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Iran,..)

If your fine with C then there are some flights that go to YVR (Vancouver). I think both Ana and EVA air operate the route. You just have to get creative with finding a departure point from Europe. There is limited availability on the Asia-YVR legs so it harder to get a connection that work (less service with more paid traffic).
South America is just a no go as nobody flies those route as there isn't enough traffic. It would be similar in length to US-Australia flights but there just isn't enough trade links between the continents to sustain premium demand on direct routes.

For BRU-HND I can't even find C class availibility, only in Y!
