If I take a flight on Swiss across the Atlantic, do I get EQM's. I realize that I don't get the double "redeemable" mile bonus that I would get on Lufthansa, but if I could at least get some EQM's, I could justify the price for a business ticket on Swiss.

BTW, do I get 125% or 150% EQM's for flying Business class on Swiss?

Yes, you get RDM bonus on LX. No, you don't get EQM bonus.

My recent experience on LX ain't good... and I don't even take off until November. :rolleyes:

You get 125% in Business. 100% in Z (discounted).

I had 2 trips canceled earlier this year, one to PEK, one to AKL. It has been lots of changes this year, so my flying plan changed lot too.

Okay so I did a quick check on Farecompare and I saw LGA-SNA MR that can be done every Sat. till the end of the year for $313 which you could get 6070 EQM for with a routing of LGA-ORD-SNA-LAX-BOS-LGA, with the last segment on US. You could bring the fare down to $213 with those $100 off e-certs which for 6070 miles makes it an excellent MR. You would leave LGA in the afternoon and return the next morning.

If you don't get the Doule EQM promotion this year, you could always do this. Heck, I might do these 2 in Nov to get to 250K in miles for the $500 or was it $750 nemium Marcus Card.

RDM bonus, not EQM. EQM bonus on United and LH only.

I have flown previously and I received a 100% elite bonus (being a 1P) on the LH transatlantic same as I get on UA flights.

I believe you get the same EQM's as you would get for UA flights on any *Alliance flights, but you do not get the 100% bonus for 1P.

Can anyone that knows for sure confirm what the deal is.

100% Premier Executive mileage bonuses
As a Premier Executive® member, you will automatically earn a 100% redeemable mileage bonus every time you fly a paid United, TedSM, United Express® and US Airways flight. This redeemable mileage bonus is also valid on transatlantic Lufthansa flights between the U.S. and Europe. Bonus miles are in addition to the credit you receive for the paid miles you fly, based on the origin and destination of flights.

Doesn't look like you'd get any elite RDM bonus for LX.

So, when are we declaring the DEQM deal officially dead for this year? By the end of business this week? Whatever happens, the changes are sure going to be different then last year's. We're talking more a change than just a higher registration fee.

They can always come up with DEQM at some point later (with some sort of backward EQM credit for certain period of time). This will probably discouraged DEQM-induced MR to some extent. So I'd say, officially, Dec 31.

I Actually found a better one, LGA-IAD-SFO-SBA-SFO(LAX)-BOS-LGA

7100 EQM
$260++
