Well I doubt you can do it from sunny Sydney, but if you start in the right domestic markets getting 25k BIS for <$500 these days is pretty easy. I know I did 15k for ~$200 two weeks ago.

OK, since no one else is stepping up, I'm going to gently call "BS." I'm open to being corrected on this, but I haven't seen a single route for many months in which this is possible (the 15K EQMs for $200.)

Could you show us how to get 5,000 EQMs for less than $100?

Or 7,500 EQMs for less than $150?

Customer relation vouchers etc. do NOT count. ;)

Agreed^

I think some folks are confusing "BIS" with "RDM."

15,000 EQM is similar to two MRs from SEA to TPA with many stops in between.

I don't think anyone can find such fare for $100.

Those $100 e-certs are easy to come by, in which case you can get around 7.5 EQM's for <$120...

Which equals about 15K RDMs, but NOT 15K BIS.

I'm not going to post my routing in the open, but you just combine some good routing with what lucky9876coins just mentioned and it really is easy.

So you are telling us that it is really easy to get 25k BIS miles for $500 earlier, and now you say that you use those $100 e-certs.

So with no e-certs, obviously this is not possible

And this renders thegingerman and ozstamps correct

I never said I didn't use e-certs before. I stand by my prior statements that on UA these days it is easy to get 25k BIS for <$500.

The e-certs that have been going around are really easy to get and use (except for dealing with web support on occasion) that you would have to be crazy to not be using one with every eligible flight you book.

How do you get them then?

Well I sure you probably could do 25K EQM miles for under <$500 with the ecert $100 off. But I don't even know what BIS is, is that like full fare miles? I am just confused with this 'BIS' talk.
