I believe that should be Generalissimo. I can't believe there's actually a Wikipedia entry on it, too...

(See post #797.)

Already have trips for then :-p Unfortunately one of them is on Horizon Air as United doesn't fly to ALW (Walla Walla, WA). The other trip is a QUP booked to the east coast.

I'm thinking of taking a Tue/Wed MR after Dec 15 or the last weekend of the year. Will probably do some pricing on this over the weekend. Can't believe I'm *this* close!

There's a wiki for everything.

Do you know of any good runs out of the BOS/MHT area that you can suggest?

This was a winner recommendation for me, thanks.

I just booked LAX - MAN over Thanksgiving via FRA return via MUC in LH Z class business for $2172 total for all segments to earn 18000 EQM miles.

This compares to $2990 business on UA metal LAX - LHR and 16000 EQM miles. LAX - FRA is $2600 - not so many options left now, so hurry!

Never flown LH before, can anyone advise if 1st class standby upgrade using paper SWU is really worth it - the business product looks good?

I've never managed to clear the C > F upgrade on LH, so I can't give first hand experience but the what you see going on in front of the curtain does indeed look good.

As to LH (new) C, which is what you will have, I've been fairly happy. The seat reclines 180 degrees (but is not full flat). IFE is on depand and does offer a lot of different things which is good, but depending on your taste can be "a lot of nothing". In flight service is best described as efficient.

As opposed to BA (and the new UA C) all seats are forward facing.

Should be a pleasant MR.

As this one seems to be a dead issue, I'm going to close it. For those who are starting to use it as a mileage run thread, please post your questions in the Mileage Run forum, where you should find a great deal of help.

Thanks,
l'etoile
