I was on 664 on 10/30; the broken aircraft was N104UA; I guess they got the cargo door fixed as it flew to HKG/SGN on 10/31. It was subbed with N107UA which did the SFO-ORD-SFO, then went to SYD and is on its way back to LAX. Am I the only one who loves to put tail numbers into FlightAware?

With SFO-NRT-SFO down to one single 744 this flight joins the TT (terrible three) in my book as far as upgrades are concerned. Folks looking for an upgrade might be happy if N194 plows on that route, despite it being old config.

I forgot to check the tail when I disembarked, but I assume this was N194UA.

At least is was a smooth ride & we all arrived safely. It just would have been nice to have known about the change ahead of time.
Did they hand out skykits to all pax, or were you told to go to the appreciation website?

Now it's NC0 but still has 21 empty seats (from seat map).
Is it a sign that this flight my be swapped to a new configuration 744 (the difference of C number is 21)?
Keep my finger crossed.
Another good sign, C9 now becomes C2 (still 21 empty seats). Seat map is still the old version though. Will I lose my seat assignment?

What happened to us on our two flights this weekend that got swapped is that our Row 25 seats got lost since there is no C Row 25 on the new 747 (and they split us up, putting me in Rows 10 and + 1 in Row 7), but our Row 15 seats got mapped directly to Row 15 on the new 747.

Quote of the day!
What's funny is that it actually happened for one segment due to the delay on 664 and the rebooking of our connection.

I was in 15A - I chose that seat as it's pretty good in both configurations.

I'd guess the HKG flights (SFO-HKG and ORD-HKG).

United Cargo site now shows 664 as a 47C new config every day until November 9th. So N194 must be doing some serious transpac work or is down for MX.

GF and I are in upgraded F on 664 later this week. Can't wait to try the new F too. However, my current seat assignment doesn't exist in the new config (her seat does exist. She's a on a separate PNR).

Could you change yours to the seat exists in new config? Someone just reported you may be assigned randomly and possibly separate from your GF.
