Have an upcoming trip where return is upgraded using PP. I might need to change the return date. It’s booked through a corporate TA. How do I cancel or change the trip to get the PP back? If TA changes will they automatically be redeposited or do I need to call UA first?

Tried to book round trip ORD - LHR in “Economy” category with PP upgrade to Business. Took option to include Premium Plus in upgrade. When seat selection came up, there was a charge for selecting Economy Plus seating. I am 1K. Was that right? Certain seats were shown with a star inside a green box and a much higher price, which I hadn’t seen before.

Waitlist priority question: Does a 1K who books in Economy with PP upgrade to Business have priority over lower level Premiers who book in Premium Economy with a PP upgrade request? And how would priority among 1Ks booking in same class be resolved?
(If anyone can link me to a thread that discusses waitlist priority on international flights in detail, that would probably help). |

The answer to your question is no, people in PremPlus always have higher priority over those in Economy except for GS requests. after request type, booked cabin, pax status, fare class, it follows the rest of the tie-breakers |
I know there’s probably not an exact answer to this but if a flight has PZ7 today, can it be expected to stay at some number greater than zero tomorrow? Flight is just over a week out.
Thinking about changing but have to wait until tomorrow for TA to rebook, unfortunately. |

No, but I'd rather be hoping a PZ7 flight stay >0 than hoping a PZ0 flight goes >0. I've definitely seen PZ space disappear overnight.
Update: So, woke up this morning to PZ9 (+2) and pulled the trigger. Now waiting for TA to ticket it and hopefully confirm upgrade. Leaving a little earlier and arriving 10 min later than origibnally planned, so hopefully worth it. |
Thanks. Is there a single place where one can find what all the various abbreviations - "e.g. "PX", "PZ7", "MUA" + mean? I understand most, but by no means all (and could probably deduce their meaning if I had the time to invest in that exercise).

Re: the other two examples, PZ7 refers to PZ fare bucket (https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unit...uckets-ua.html) having inventory 7. I'm not sure what PX could be; where do you see it? [edit: maybe someone's particular abstraction of PN/PZ?] |
Has MP become extremely generous? apparently several are being upgraded to 1K in 2023, DESPITE not flying enough, not earning enough PQPs etc ....
