On the PP page, it says "Additional 20 PlusPoints for every 2,000 PQP beyond 15,000 PQP"

Is there a typo?

Yes, typo, after 15k

Yes - :pne earns 20 additional PlusPoints for every 2000 PQP after 15,000. So at 17,000, 19,000, 21,000, etc.

Plus Points error on every schedule change

Is anyone else dealing with this, EVERY time a schedule changes? (plus points screen)

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...b9a52747b7.png

The problem is I cannot cancel the upgrade (error), I cannot do anything to it without calling, and it's happened like... eleventeen times since I started booking more trips over the past month. Any advice beyond sitting on hold while the get supervisors EVERY time?

I'm not sure why you'd need a supervisor, but that's very common when a schedule change occurs on an itinerary with waitlisted upgrades. The waitlisted segments don't get updated, so the reservation is out of sync. Any competent agent should be able to see (and fix) this immediately, without needing supervisor approval.

Is this in the reservation or in the PlusPoint tab? In the latter that is normal and no reason for concern. As long as the individual flights are showing o.k. you are good. Depending on how major the change is then indeed it needs to fixed by United, but should not take a supervisor

Yes, plus points tab. Every single schedule change with PP on it needs a phone call. Can’t even cancel them and redo. To me, that’s something that programmers should be able to figure out. There should at least be a ripcord that functions properly.

I guess I’m getting really unlucky with competent agents?? It’s almost as if it’s something new to each person I speak with. I just tell them to to cancel the PP upgrade requests now, and then I go and redo them.

Doesn't that potentially knock you down in priority? I think time of request still is a factor.

Wonderful...probably.

What are you saying to them? In a similar situation, I've had success, on multiple occasions, just saying something like "there was a schedule change, and it looks like my reservation is out of sync; can you take a look?" Maybe you're giving more details and they think they're running into something new?

Out of Sync in the +P tab means nothing. As long as the reservation shows fine you are good.

I am telling them that there was a schedule/flight change, and that the +P upgrades are out of whack. And see below...

Thats the thing, certain segments of the reservation do NOT show waitlisted any longer. No "complimentary" waitlist, and no +P waitlist. Just a seat number. So there is no way of knowing if things are correct, and the representative is "hmm yea, I see that", followed by "let me see what I can do", and now multiple times "I am going to connect with a supervisor".

Maybe y'all are just lucky, but this has happened several times. I've been a 1k for at least 7-8 years, so I'm not exactly a rookie. It's just a crappy byproduct of all the schedule changes and the +P system not playing nice with each other. The silliest part is that it will NOT let me cancel on my own! Always met with a red error message, and to call a rep. Dog chasing tail.

That's odd. My reservations always show this on the PlusPoints screen after schedule changes but my actual reservation still reflects "Waitlist" and that PlusPoints are applied so in my case there's no issue despite the message.

Have you "accepted schedule changes" to your reservation? Mine always appear wonky until I accept changes and then everything is back to normal except for the PlusPoints summary page.

If you're on the waitlist, PPs have not been applied. UA only gets the points when upgrade successful. It does show the number of PPs in your account you've currently allocated towards upgrade requests.

Well yes - I just mean if you click on the waitlist message it notes that you have been waitlisted using PlusPoints (versus being eligible for CPU or some other scenario). All that to say, despite the message about the reservation being out of sync, on the actual reservation it correctly reflects the fact that you have waitlisted with PlusPoints.
