July 30 EWR BUF EMB175 - full PDB open bar. Full service in the air wirh refills, and snack basket.

AUG 1 BUF EWR EMB175 - water only PDB, one full serivce in air, no refills, no snack basket. It's like rolling the dice!

UA1411 SFO to EWR 8/14 OJ or water, I asked for Champagne, he said yes, but never brought it

UA3620 BTV to EWR 8/20 nothing

I thought pandemic days were over

08/23/23 UA2136 BOS-IAD Purser taking requests; asked for Old Fashioned but either consumed on the EWR-BOS feeder or not stocked. Received Baileys on the rocks as an alternative:

This week I had my first full PDB on UA post pandemic. SFO-BOS red-eye - FA came around and asked what I wanted - red wine was no problem. No stupid tray of water or sparking wine w/o any other options. 100+ flights ... first one for me. Sad, but maybe a good sign :)

DFW-IAD evening departure on A319. Zero PDB. FA stood around and played on phone. We pushed a few minutes early and they had plenty of time for at least water. I was running late and had moved quickly through the airport and needed water. Service was very lazy. My pre-ordered meal was not catered (seemed like 4-5 of us). No nuts. Never addressed by name (what’s the point of the phones if zero recognition ).

I’m losing my patience with the apathetic domestic F service. Nearly 100% with AA on PDB of choice plus significantly better service in F (constant refills, warm towel, legit ramekin of nuts).

25AUG & 27AUG IAH<->DTW nothing

SAT-IAH AUG 26. Nothing. Just truly pathetic, lazy, worthless service effort. Especially since FAs never got out of their jumpseats after takeoff. From sitting in first class, to deplaning, with a 40 minute gate hold after landing in IAH, 93 minutes with not even a squirt of water. And...first class was only 9/16 filled. Yay AFA!!!!

In probably about thirty UA flights since PDBs were officially restored, I have batted about .900 on getting my choice of PDB upon request even when they are explicitly offering only a tray of pre-poured options.

At least 3 in a row with no PDB. No excuse, no delay BS. Weak sauce.

Streak of at least 4 with no PDB broken today on SEA-IAH with excellent and fun crew. Water or bubbles.
