Sorry, but I'm not going to read 53 pages of reviews to get an answer to my question. So if this has been discussed before maybe it can go in the Wiki. Is there a limit to the number of "free drinks" provided in PP? I flew it this week BRU-IAD. I asked for a drink and was given one airline bottle plus the entire can of the mixer. I asked for another airline bottle and was told no - they only provide one in PP and that I'm to pay for any additional. I gave a puzzled look and dropped it. I decided to press my luck and ask again and the FA relented. But he made quite a spectacle of asking the other FA working the other side of the beverage cart with him, "Hey, PP only gets one drink per flight, right?" The other FA naturally agreed. I cannot find anything that says it's limited to one drink. Hey, I'm not trying to get drunk or even have five drinks. But if I'm going to have the entire can of mixer then I appreciate the second bottle of liquor.
BTW, as far as I could tell, beer and wine were handed out with ease and no comments about paying for it. And, of course, a non-rev was given multiple liquor bottles with no comment about paying. Finally, would 1K status entitle a passenger to extra liquor bottles?
Otherwise, PP was fine. For me and the flights I take $150 seems like a no brainer to get additional comfort and more importantly 50% more PQM over non-Y/B economy fares.
The food was served still completely wrapped (both the lunch and the pre-arrival cold plate). The bread was still wrapped in plastic as well which I find disgusting and tacky.

What’s the dining experience on United Premium Plus flights?
SM
10 of 11
Dining in United Premium Plus will vary based on the route and time of flight. You’ll receive a hearty welcome meal, assorted mid-flight snacks and pre-arrival dining service.
A beverage snack is served with the initial beverage service. There are two entrée choices — such as chicken katsu or Portobello mushroom and caramelized onion ravioli — served with a salad, bread, butter and dessert. The menu will rotate monthly.
Beer, wine, liquor and non-alcoholic beverages will be complimentary. You can get an idea of the beverages offered on our Inflight Beverage Selection page, but please note that they’ll vary by flight.

I had figured that there was some sort of locking mechanism for the purpose you describe, and I tried to reset it as you explained. It didnt help, and at first I thought it was because the seat in front of me was not upright. But when he went upright, I tried to reset it by pulling it all the way up and it still did not drop.
There really ought to be some sort of card showing the features of the chair and how to operate. It took me and the person next to me a while after boarding to find the USB and outlet under the arm rest!

Do you mean that, when I finally get in a PP seat (when United deigns to sell them for my routes out of ORD), I will need to hand out to the FA some drink coupons?

Limited experience, but I don't think so -- guy next to me (BRU-EWR) had two, maybe three drinks with no issues. But YMMV, depending on flight crew?

In the hand full of times I’ve been in PP with PP service, never been denied a double or a full can of something. Maybe it’s because it’s one for PP and one for 1K . Definitely depending on crew and the language qualified attendants seems to be better than others.

Now you mention this drink thing my wife said that it happened to her and they wouldn't let her have another drink. I forget what she ordered now but she mentioned it to me and I just said it must be the FA on an all too frequent these days power trip. Perhaps there is a directive. I am not sure I will fly PP again anyway as the price point is too high for me, but if I get a battlefield promotion then I will be sure to see what happens.

This is where Kirby’s cheapness hits home. I’ve flown premium economy on AF, BA, and LH, and I’ve never been told “Sorry we don’t have enough to go around” when I ask for another drink.

I highly doubt it. I flew in E+ a few weeks ago (non-PP plane) and had a G&T during the first beverage service. When they came back with the meals, I asked for another G&T. No hesitation whatsoever. In fact, she gave me 2 mini bottles and when giving me the second one, said "just in case", with a smile. There was apparently little gin stocked because a minute later, I heard the FA tell someone that they had already run out of gin.
There seem to be a lot of (more senior) FAs who seem to enjoy power trips and making their own rules. I suspect you got one of them.

"...beverages will be complimentary" pretty clearly implies no limit. Seems like a MOLA (or MOLFA in this case).

Misinformed or Lying {Agent,Flight Attendant}. MOLA is pretty common on the UA forum, but I think findark has coined the '__FA' to suit this situation.
edit add:
Just out of curiosity (not related to your query), what mixer? I can only think of the bloody mary mix, or perhaps tonic water also counts as a mixer. Are there others I'm not recollecting?
