Workaround for Login & "Were sorry, but united.com was unable to complete your request." Problems:

Close United tab, clear browser cache, and delete all United cookies. Instead of logging back in using the home page yellow tile, click on the "Reservations -> Change or view reservations" link, and then login using the "MileagePlus: Sign in or join" link on the upper right of the page.

IME, the weak link of UA.com is its performance on IE. When I access the website at home, I use either Chrome or Safari, and I have no problems. At work, I have Chrome and IE, and I have given up using IE to log on to UA.com.

Here's a funny bug (not sure if it fits under website issues but didn't see a better place to post it). Flight this a.m. was canceled last night. Got auto-rebooked to the wrong destination.

Took the phone agent over an hour to rebook me because she kept fighting off the auto-rebooker.

Odd... I'm having the same problem with my Marriott App. No reservations showing, even though I have several.

Still nothing showing on the united App -- thinking about reinstalling the app.

EDIT: Deleted and reinstalled both the UA and Marriott apps, and now everything is back where it should be. Odd that a simple log out/log in would not do the same thing...

Just went to print my emailed "eTicket Itinerary and Receipt for Confirmation" in Outlook 2010 - 16 pages long with big black blocks all over the place.

I ran into this now. In March of this year I could still see my passport number and emergency contact info if I edited traveler information on a booked reservation and so I knew they were still saved.

But this month on a new reservation, the passport number and emergency contact information, and preferences like meal type are blank. So I enter them, press submit. Go to edit again to see if they were saved, and they are blank again!!!

Very frustrating.

At least it remember my KTN

I've had almost all of the problems indicated by others in this thread. I was looking for flights for two people yesterday and after selecting the outbound, it would indicate that it couldn't find return flights. When I changed to one person, it worked fine.


I logged out, changed to a different browser, and it worked fine.


One interesting quirk is that most of the time the link to United Cruises will not work in Chrome, but works fine in IE.


I figure that United doesn't like me because I do too much "dream" booking, and not enough "actual" booking.


In reality, usually if I shut down my browser and restart, this solves the problem, but not always. If this doesn't work, I move to a different browser. If this doesn't work, I restart my computer. I think the previous answer of clearing memory and cookies might be the best.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but when I am making a reservation and I click on the Details tab in isn't showing me how many miles I would earn, they are all just blanked out.

The links are broken once you click on a map. However, you can change the URL to May instead of June ("05" instead of "06") and the maps will load. Someone forgot to put the new maps in the right directory on the server is most likely what happened.

Despite correctly showing me as a 1K, the web site n longer allows me to select E+ seats for myself. I have no idea what's wrong. Has this happened to anyone else?

The passenger count problem is still not fixed. Last night I wanted to make a couple of bookings and at the end I always got the annoying error message. When I went to Google Flights they would transfer me flawlessly to United.com and I could have booked, Unfortunately I wanted a different routing and trying to revise flights got me into the loop again ending with the error. Finally this morning I got through. This website is a very frustrating product offered by the geniuses at United.

A few folks have reported this upstream. Most indicated that they could change to E+ after booking.

Nt me -- it seems my MP# was not part of my record -- despite the fact that I was logged into my own account when booking. My number is, of course, part of my profile. When I tried to re-save it I saw this:

Maybe it's because with the web site update, they are changing to use a modern, interactive route map that most major carriers worldwide now use instead of the static ones where you can't see anything since all the route lines are on top of one another, and it's just in transition.

I mean, it's always possible, but I'll stop dreaming for now.
