As of Oct. 26, 2015 it no longer seems possible to access the old version of the website.

Consolidated: Is united.com or parts of it down?

Workaround for Login & "Were sorry, but united.com was unable to complete your request." Problems:

Close United tab, clear browser cache, and delete all United cookies. Instead of logging back in using the home page yellow tile, click on the "Reservations -> Change or view reservations" link, and then login using the "MileagePlus: Sign in or join" link on the upper right of the page.

Trying to book an international reward flight, keep getting error when I hit purchase. Tried this with two different flights, I've called the number on error page and they tell me they get same error and don't know why. Anyone have same issues or give me a phone number where I can talk to a CSR that knows what they're doing?

Call the regular reservation phone number and once you get a phone agent, ask for "Web Support" since it can not be done online.

Yes - get used to dashes and dots - at least for now.... Some MBA intern must have convinced the apparent "leaders" at UA that after so many years of color coding - that dashes and dots made more sense.... Honestly - UA has gone off the rails...

It's the instamorons and snaptwat generation that is driving UI these days. The adage if it ain't broke, don't fix it no longer applies. Although when my travel days are over, I will miss the places, but not the methods.

Heaven forbid trying to make things better. This UI has worked for the past gazillion years so lets not upset all those old people by testing some new design and measuring whether it's better?

Oh wait, user research has shown that a UI was difficult to use? Let's ignore that because we'll upset some people by trying to improve it.

(Now I don't know if UA are actually measuring the results of these UI changes, but given that most UIs in the world are pretty terrible, then the old adage doesn't really apply.)

Pretty much every change that UA has made to its website over the past several years has made the site harder to use.

They do get points for consistency . . . matches perfectly with what they've done to the FF program.

I have no issues using United.com on Chrome, but I do notice that the link to the cruises site gives me errors.

" Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit."

If I want to dream about cruises, I have to use IE.

The "recent searches" functionality on the home screen quit working for me this week. It probably has to do with the stupid "two-factor authentication" (which anyone with an IT brain--none of which UA possess, apparently--would explain is not 2FA at all).
