Expiration had previously been in the T&Cs for some time (2 years of inactivity? but now is 18 months) and had stated an ETC would be issued if the funds did timeout. Unclear if that still applies.
The Gift Registry has been disabled since Fall 2017 (Sept?) (appears this may be related to a tax issue?)

Out of interest - has anyone ever seen a credit for UA-plated but priceline booked tickets?
The credit card payment was seemingly done by UA (i.e. United Airlines appeared when the charge was pending, it still states United Airlines in the address section after posting). However it wasn't booked on UA.com, so under the rules this wouldn't be eligible.
(I'm not counting on it, I'm mainly just curious - this was a complicated itinerary which I had to build via ITA matrix, and it's hard to then buy those via ua.com)

This is typical of the way a travel agency works - when they book on a carrier's stock, they are able to use their CC merchant account (I.e, CC fees are paid by the airline, not the agency). I'm under the impression it's
mostly a holdover from the old days, when it was used as an incentive for agents to book a particular carrier. But either way, it's got nothing to do with travel bank credit.

Is it possible for me to book a UA-marketed and operated dummy booking using credits from my travel bank, and then call to change it to a NH / LH-operated flight via phone courtesy of the 24-hour online booking flexibility perk? Or would the agent not be able to re-price since I used travelbank credit?
Of course I am happy to pay the additional taxes / fare difference with my credit card

I made a contribution to a gift registry of a wrong person with the same name. Is it possible to reverse the transaction?

Deposits made to the TravelBank are nonrefundable.
You may be able to request moving the contribution but you will have to go thru the customer support channel ( or Support / missing credits contact: [email protected]) to make that request.

Okay, so this past weekend, my wife and I went to PDX and back. I booked the trip through my login as 2 one ways. Thus I was expecting $20 in the travel bank ($5 for each of the 4 tickets).
I looked today and say my balance was $10, so I assumed the money for the outbound had posted but the return had not yet. However, when I looked at the activity I saw that it was $5 from the outbound and $5 from the return.
When I checked in for both the outbound and the return I opted to split the PNR so that we could both be placed on the upgrade list. Did this decouple my wife's reservations from mine and cause me not to get credit for purchasing her tickets?
Thanks.

I recently tried to use an ETC and some travelbank credit - seemed I couldn't use both. Is that a known problem or was there something funky in my booking? (I used the much larger, and expiring ETC FWIW).

1. Travel Bank
2. View balance details
3. See which PNR got credited
4. Email PNR that did not get credited
To avoid similar situation in the future, ticket only one passenger per PNR.

IME, definitely not every time. For me, it has happened only once when I've split, and several times, credited normally.

Also, it's a good idea to put part of the purchase on a credit card for the travel benefits!
