You should be able to move it to 8 weeks from the first easily on the national booking site; widen the search area if you can’t find a site near to you.
any less than 8 weeks and you are relying on finding a centre doing walk ins and having a flexible attitude, areas with high delta variant covid reported may be happier to breach the guidelines.

finally some sensible discussion. This can't come soon enough for us US travelers that are fully vaccinated.

I can say with great certainty this new rule will fully take effect the day I leave the UK to go home.

I'm in Oxford, so heading into London isn't impossible. May have to keep an eye on twitter over the weekend, and hop on a train if I spot the offer being repeated anywhere. Checking twitter for councils advertising drop-ins wasn't something I'd considered, so thanks for the tip!

Thanks to a tip off from a member on here about a place with a liberal interpretation of the NHS 8 week rule and often advertising on FB for spare doses/drop in sessions, I've had my 2nd Pfizer dose this afternoon after a 5 week gap from the 1st dose.

It was a 50 mile roundtrip on some of Somerset's most vile roads, but what it cost me in petrol and time will be made up for (hopefully) in being more "travel ready" depending on the outcome of the next travel list review. At the very least it has saved me some pre-travel testing cost.

This is behind a paywall - did they by any chance say when it is likely to begin? I know it may be announced end of June, but anything about when it will be applicable for travellers?

The rolling seven day daily average for cases is now up 33.3% on the previous week and the same measure for deaths is up 18.0%. The rolling 7 day daily average for deaths is 10.3 today.

Hounslow, as one of the areas of concern with the Delta variant, is a good place to check out. Earlier today they were advertising that second AZ jabs if at least a month had passed since your first, walk-ins were available.

The increase in patients classed as on ventilation is slightly worrying. Deaths, not so. A couple of Facebook friends* who are anti vax have been very quiet of late.

* Never quite sure what to do about them. Both fellow inmates of Bogstandard Secondary Modern, in the eighties, salt of the earth etc.

Why a months delay from 28th June to end of July, madness, so what if not everyone has had a jab, its holding back the majority who have? From1 July EU make allowances for fully vaccinated.

Except for Brits in the case of some EU countries.

I meant for fellow EU citizens i.e. they are giving credit for their vaccination status whereas we are not, yet.
