I like the idea of taking extra documents because it gives you peace of mind that you're covered. They don't weigh much or take much space, but you feel secure of being able to answer anything, and being relaxed is appropriate frame of mind for your interview, as it's primarily an indoctrination/training session more than a fact-finding session.

The only other things I have been asked for were any other passports (from other countries, which I did not have, but others do), and signed permission from both parents (for applicant under 18). And by the way, the letter of invitation to the interview did NOT indicate that the latter would be requested, and the second parent only tagged along by last-minute chance. Lucky for us.

Hi,
I applied in GOES 4 weeks ago. I am Canadian citizen and all information was correct . I just forgot that I have another Passport from my home Country that still not expired yet and I have not mention it in the application. I completely forgot about this passport because I do not use it except when I go back to home country. I am really worried that they deny my application for that reason.
Can I call them to fix this issue? or wait until I get the response. I am planning to bring it to the interview if I have one.

Thank Flyquiet.
The four members of my family applied and we are all conditionally approved. But I am the only one having an interview tomorrow. My spouse and daughters will have theirs in November, where I plan to tag along exactly for the reason you mentioned.

For tomorrow, I plan to have as much as possible. But, to confirm my address, I guess the driver's license (plus a few utilities bills just in case) is enough, right? Is there any need to carry my notarized document of title to prove my ownership at that address? Or is this too much really?

Canadian NEXUS / CANPASS members and Netherlands Pri

It looks like Cdn members that are NEXUS / CANPASS members maybe able to join PRIVIUM Program soon and vice versa (This would be for Dutch citizens only. Not Schengen members.)

Dutch PRIVIUM members can already join US Global Entry.

If you're all conditionally approved, why not take everyone tomorrow? They might do all the interviews at the same time and save yourself a trip.

The only things they asked of me were my passport and driver's license.

Nataxa68, I've never read anyone being asked for notarized title. They don't care if you own and many cardholders are not owners. I took utility bill, health card, DL, bank statement, and I can't remember which they looked at.
hmasoud, we discussed upthread that forgotten information can and should be brought to the interview. You can't go back in and revise the GOES file. They will know about things like that, and they will ask you open ended questions where they already know the answer. Don't hide anything. It's a complicated form to complete online and not unheard of to forget, get flustered, or make errors. Just correct them at the interview.

It's just that they are outside the country until the end of October. When we all got our conditional approval last week, I thought I would wait for them and do it in November, all together. But when I saw an open spot at YUL today (a week after my conditional approval), I decided not to wait!!!

I will mention at the interview that the other members of my family also applied and have interviews scheduled in November.

I've been Googling this, and come up with info on the APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC).

That seems an odd thing to have been asked, since [to my knowledge] neither Canadian nor US residents can get those at the moment.

Argh!!
I went to YUL this afternoon for my interview.
After I was done with the Canadian side, sitting in front of the US officer, the whole GS system went down (nationwide, apparently). The reception lady was nice enough to reschedule me tomorrow morning, but I still have to get there a second time.

There's gonna be quite a few unhappy people nationwide ;)

Incidentally, I was curious as to why I was required to do an interview on a renewal when that isn't the standard process any longer. The officer couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me why. He did, however, make a point of instructing me 3 times to improve looking at the camera on the GE machines. It's a facial recognition process and there was a record of difficulty recognizing me. (I've had a few times where it cuts off part of my face.) His comment was that if it keeps happening, I'll start getting the "X" referral a lot and once you're in that pattern it takes a while to get out.

I will have to try harder to get my face into those pictures now. Normally only my chin and mouth make it in. A couple of agents have chuckled at the pictures that are taken but they never mentioned that I should try harder to get my whole face into the frame.

Serious question.. Are the Global Entry offices and US side at NEXUS open due to the shutdown?

Ugh, double post by mistake

I'm not sure if they are open or not, but I received an email from GOES this morning advising me that I am due for renewal as I am six months from expiry. I logged in, went through the renewal process, and paid my fee.

I just went into check something and GOES is showing "GOES is unavailable for maintenance.

We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause."

The fact the GOES website did not work has nothing to do with the government shutdown. The GS site was down yesterday, that's all (see my previous post).

However, when I went back to YUL this morning for the rest of my interview, I talked with the US custom officer (really nice BTW) and I was told that: since those officers are part of an "essential" program, they HAVE to work... they just not getting paid. That is, not for now.
