I forgot to post about this.

I've only been sent to secondary once while using GE, on Monday October 14 at YYZ, as an originating passenger.

There was a big circle around my picture, and some smaller text that said "proceed to baggage inspection" or something like that. There was no X that I could see.

The big bold X is unmistakeable. It replaced the picture and went from corner to corner of the picture box. The Circle of Shame is interesting!

On UA, my problem was that the OLCI did not give me any opportunity to input my NEXUS number, so accordingly it could not determine whether I was eligible for PreCheck. Maybe there wasn't PreCheck available at the airport (but I did see signs mentioning a PreCheck lane, so I don't know...) I chose the pat down and had a soothing massage...

Based on yesterday's discussion, I created a MP profile and input the NEXUS number, although not sure how it will pick up on that if I use my AE number for a booking.

If you can't see how to do it online, a call to UA reservations should work--agents can input your NEXUS PASS ID into your Secure Flight information.

I don't have an MP profile. As I always get my "inside the USA" reservations via Bestfares.com and not via airline websites, I input the NEXUS Pass ID (and my AP number) via the Update function once the airline website has my reservation. Not having an MP profile has not been any concern with regard to getting the PreCheck.

Can't login to check my status...it says "HPDIA0119W Authentication mechanism is not available."

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Just another way the whole air travel thing is inaccessible to deaf people. Computer forms should work and obviate the whole "call them" shootin' match, and yet time after time, IT fails leave me without the backup option.

I'm pretty sure you can enter it online; if you can't figure out how, then a call to UA might be in order. I can't test it as all of my upcoming reservations already have my PASS ID in them.

I have a very good friend who has the UA 1K desk on speed dial...and he's deaf, too. I guess I just assumed you had access to a video relay service like he does.

So then you need to sign in to the account, search for your reservation, and click the "save to account" link.

From there, it doesn't matter what FF number you credit it to, as it's all still linked to your MP profile for things like trusted traveler number.

It's always worked for me :)

I went into GOES and it still says I have an expired Document after attending yesterday at Pearson..Seems my Drivers Licence has expired on there..Can I email them with a scanned copy of my new DL to correct this or do I again have to attend in person? Wish the Border Agent had told me yesterday when I was at Pearson...No Biggy..we can go over on Oct 31st ( before we fly out Nov 1st ) from the Hotel and do it in person if I can't send a scanned document. Anyone? Thanks for help.

I only use AE and UA has no problem locating my information once I entered it. All the computer needs to locate you is a unique ID number and AE is just as good as MP.

I always have problems when I try to update my information on UA (such as first night address) when accessing a reservation, it never sticks (or it sticks but still reports an error). This is a know issue when I researched it. But it always works at OLCI time and the personal information (passport, Pass ID, etc.) is remember for subsequent travels.

We don't have video relay in Canada.

Is this thread still on the Air Canada forum? Or is this now a United codeshare?

It's still on the AC forum (for now), and while it was originally about NEXUS (not AC), it's evolved into a generic trusted traveler thread.

I've been in favor of moving it, since it really doesn't pertain to AC, but I seem to be in the minority (and/or the mods don't agree with me).

flyquiet, your question about entering the PASS ID on United is probably better asked in here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...es-2013-a.html. They'll know how to do it.
