Might as well add my rarity. Back in the mid 80's flew Cherry Beach Heliport to YYZ on Air Canada.

Canada, eh?

BFI-YWH

HeliJet, I'll save you the trouble of looking it up.

Boeing Field, aka King County Airport Seattle to Victoria Inner Harbour (that's how we spell it in Canada).

Also once in a very short lived cropduster route to YYJ.

And Seattle's Lake Union to Inner Harbour of Victoria on my one and only float plane.

And this one not so rare, as at least one FlyerTalker left CO when they dropped EFD-IAH.

And here's one I did when I was 10 or so, not sure if that counts as it was well before internet age, but BTS-PRG-BTS. I :--: OK is flying this route again.

More recently, VIE-KSC (Kosice, Slovakia).

You never hear "Welcome to Jamaica, New York, John Fitzgerald Kennedy Airport".
I know I'm quoting from YEARS ago but I just saw this thread

this isn't actually just about the French though. ZRH (Zurich) is very much known as Kloten or Zurich-Kloten airport for ALL the locals, as the airport is in Kloten, not the actual city of Zurich.

Same in the UK, mostly. There's a couple of airports named after people - a trend that I thoroughly dislike - like LPL (John Lennon - "Above Us Only Sky"), BHD (George Best) and DSA (Robin Hood, rather oddly). But even these are commonly known as Speke, Aldergrove and Finningley. And that's before we get started on Heathrow, Gatwick, Abbotsinch, Dyce, etc, etc...

I worked on Johnston Island for many years in the '80s and '90s.
Initially we flew military C-141 and C-130 HIK to JON
Later flew Aloha 737s HNL to JON
Two hurricane evacuations JON to HNL on DC-10s (United). That was a sight to see. I think there were 2 of them at the tiny airport ready to take us off the island.
Many fond memories!

MKK-LUP on an Aloha Islandair prop that picked me up at West Maui, landed at Molokai Dillingham Field up top, and then made an unlisted (but available) stop at Kalaupapa, the tiny airport that serves the former leper colony on the northern peninsula of Molokai. No one got on at LUP. No one got off. Some supplies were delivered, and some mail was picked up. I was told people would book the flight to come and go, but it was not advertised. This was in the early '90's. I believe the route has EAS service now.

A couple that might be interesting and unique

ARM-TMW on a QF. Not sure if it was ever a regular flight but the ARM-SYD was diverted to pick up passengers in TMW (CXL or MECH?)

Also YLW-YXC on a PW 737 (was supposed to be YVR-YKA-YXC but YKA was closed due to fog so the flight diverted to YLW). Route long gone as is the airline.

That was one of many triangle routes Qantas flew/flies in rural Australia.
