Ok, that's a functionality that would be great to have :-). I do understand that it would probably take longer to carry out the actual search, but the added value here is immense!

Thanks.

Question --

It appears that the KVSTool is returning flights that cannot be booked. I understand that any mistakes are due to the source system, but can you verify whether or not this is correct?

The relevant thread is here:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...where-hot.html

As you can see, I've found availability on EI for five business class seats DUB-BOS. The BA agent I've spoken to can see them in his system, but cannot book them because EI seats aren't bookable more than 330 days in advance.

Is this hard limit true? If it is, perhaps you could enforce a "reality filter" on results from the source, where if it returns something that you know isn't true then you don't return it to the user...

It is not really a "mistake" -- if you are redeeming BAEC miles, then you are subject to any system/date range limitations of that programme (in addition to the Award Availability itself).

The "reality" is different for the numerous FFPs that support redemption on EI -- in your example, there would be no point in enforcing the BAEC (330-day) "reality" on QF FF members (whose "reality" extends to 354 days).

So you're saying that the 330 day limitation is a BAEC limit? The guy was quite happy to book me LCY-JFK BA flights at 339 days, and he said that they shouldn't have any limit other than those provided by the airlines...

BAEC's limit for its own flights and most partners is 354 days. However, it may have different limits for specific airlines (such as EI).

I'm brand new to KVS (just downloaded) but haven't signed up for Gold, Platinum, or Diamond. I understand from FAQ that Sabre:FS doesn't show AA availability. But If I sign up for Diamond it looks like pretty much everything is available one way or another. Is that correct?

That's right.

This type of functionality is currently being considered for other Alliances as well.

Please consider this a strong vote in favor of adding this capability. I use OW with the JL method. The BA method seems to take 2-3 times as long for each search, and the straight OW method (as well as the CX method) doesn't differentiate between seats CX makes available to AM members and those it makes available to partner programs. Most often, I'm looking for CX seats. I've used the *A seven day search a few times for the AC miles I sporadically collect, and it makes the searches so much easier!! Thanks, KVS!!!

1. I was never aware that the CX award seats showing on KVS are not necessarily available to partner program members, such as AAdvantage. KVS- is this true and can you come up with a method which gets around this?

2. Searches using the BA method do take extraordinarily long. I thought it was me.

Newbie, looking to make sure I am seeing this correctly. I am looking for US to LIM award ticket (focusing on MIA to LIM on LAN to use the sharing award class since AA is unavailable). I believe I should be looking for T class availability on LAN (X for AA) for the Standard award (so I can lump it together for 30k round trip). Now, I search oneworld awards for LIM-MIA on Oct 22nd and get nothing (both Oneworld and BA). When I look at availability I see a LIM-BOG-MIA flight with T class availability. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I'm hitting a strange issue with KQ NBO-SEZ 08/01/2013 return 08/06/2013 - AF Tool shows availability, Deltas shows nothing - would be great if someone with access could take a look for O space?

Thanks!
