Just a quick reminder to all existing users of the [KVS Availability Tool] who may still be using outdated versions (i.e. earlier than V1.4.3) to upgrade.

Tks, KVS!

Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth--KVS has been very nice to me in responding to numerous PM's 'cause my office would not let me load the program onto my corporate laptop. But in speaking to others who have used it, and suffered from not being able to have the tool myself, I can say it is a great thing for all frequent fliers to have. Just having the ability to check award and upgrade avail. is an incredible advantage--and soooo much better than trying to hang on hold for a live agent--esp. if you are using a *A award. And KVS only asks for a donation of $30 towards the work he has put in for the upgraded version. There is another site out there called expertflyer.com that charges $99 up front and does not have nearly the power---or ability-- to see hidden fare buckets--as KVS.

Is this statement correct - that the paid version doesn't permit the user to check UA award/upgrade availability?

Thanks!

ExpertFlyer charges $4.99/month for it's Basic service which includes access to the entire site except fare information. For $9.99/month the Premium service offers complete fare, rules and routing information along with the ability to save repeated queries. Both are payable monthly and automatically by credit card which is charged for the monthly fee at the beginning of your monthly subscription period. You can set a switch in your profile to auto-renew, or not, your choice.

The "$99 up front" fee is the Annual subscription fee of $99.99 for those who opt to pay for the Premium service once for the entire year, in which case you effectively receive two months free.

Hidden fare buckets are presently available for AA, AF, DL, F9 and QF. Any other airline that chooses to make this type of inventory available will also be displayed.

Of course, there are many other features available on ExpertFlyer. We invite you to visit the site and see for yourself. And if anyone wants to "kick the tires", just PM me and I'll give you a trial Guest account which includes a ready to use Username and Password.

Thank you for letting me clearify this issue.

I signed up for experflyer a few months ago. Its not bad..Much easier than using the UA site. It gives you a good advantage for being able to price out fare-buckets. It doesn't show award buckets for UA, which kind of sucks but for the price its not bad at all.

In the past, KVS Tool was able to show award/upgrade availability for 7+ *A airlines. Presently, the FULL-tier version gives you access to award/upgrade availability on 3 *A carriers; unfortunately, UA is not one of them.

I think youve created a very good tool and I for one get a lot of use out of it. Keep up the good work.

Hi KVS,

It is just getting better and better your tool, and the impressive number of users emphasize the fact :-)
Regarding the new function, PNR retrieval, I was hoping to see a 'real' PNR and not just a link to the already well-known sites. The reason is that it would be nice to be able to see the booking class....is that possible ?
