The Tool Rocks!
I'm a long time user of the KVS Availability Tool and it has been very helpful in general. But today I found out just how useful it can be.
I have quite a number of AS miles and wanted to use them for a BA Trans-Atlantic FC partner award. AS requires these to be made via phone. Prior to calling I used the oneworld award setting to research availability. Since I'm going in July, this was very limited. Also I wasn't sure if a positive availability meant it was available for BA Members only, all oneworld programs, and/or any partner program (incl. AS). After waiting for about 20 minutes on hold, I gave the agent my request, and she confirmed that all was available. I know I would have spent a long time on the phone had I not "known" what was available. Thanks! :p |

Does the KVS tool have a function similar to the ITA software matrix tool whereby one can check for fares, fare rules, routing rules, by inputting the origin city, the destination city, and the enroute stopover city? Can one input this third city's airport as a transit airport, and alternatively as a stopover airport?
As indicated in my example in the AC forum (link: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=817617), the only thing I could do was to input YOW and DEL as the departure and origin cities, respectively - and then input a given airline separately, and look at the routing and fare rules for each given economy fare type to see if an Amsterdam stopover was allowed. I could not find it. (PS-we are not interested in routing via USA). In my example, the second question is to use AMS as a transit airport - perhaps in one direction, and AMS as a stopover in the other direction. |

Will you consider adding this function in a future version of the KVS tool?

With the Sabre: Fares/ZUJ method, routing rules aren't displaying any more. I get a slightly-abbreviated fare rules listing instead.
I tried this with BDA-TPE and BDA-ICN. |

Proxy Authentication Trouble

[Proxy Authentication Options] is coming soon.
In the meantime, for proxy servers requiring authentication:
requesting data: Client authorization not setup [12045]". I tried adding the above to my KVS_AvailabilityTool.ini file, but my proxy does not require authentication, so I have no valid values for the username and password. Using arbitrary values still causes the same error to appear. Any suggestions? |
