I wish it would also display NW's "W" class as well.

I think this is not related to the tool - but the reservation system --- KVS simply relays what is provided back from the reservation system being used for the query request ... if the "W" class is not provided back, it cannot be displayed.

The FAQ located at the top of this thread has been updated; some links in the Classes Displayed By Airline section have been corrected.

Thanks for the suggestion -- I will keep it in mind...

In the meantime, you can always click on the [Carrier] column header once the results are displayed to sort the list by airline code -- this way all BA flights will appear together.

Also, while the Amadeus: AUA/*A method is, indeed, the most accurate method for BA (or for any other airline that is hosted in Amadeus), in my experience, the Apollo: ITN/CWT method of the Tool (which allows you to limit to flights on a specific airline) does provide quite accurate availability data for most airlines, incl. BA.

I am bleary eyed now and still confused after a zillion inquiries on KVS and searches thru FT :( I am sure I am not doing it correctly or reading it correctly because I consistently see no results.

I have plugged in a trillion combos, tried searching FT, and tried searching this thread. Hopefully someone can help with a few minor questions -- which I should probably know but don't --

Goal: Some routing from CDG-LAX on AF or DL (or KL) w/DL miles in coach.

I 'think' I am supposed to be looking for X for AF and N for DL, but as I never see any -- maybe that's wrong.

Of the several options on KVS, I still can't determine which is best for my inquiry.

I am not clear if I am supposed to get better results if I do inquiries with the whole flight or just various segments.

Lastly, even though my travel is next June, I keep trying test dates in Jan/Feb just to see if I get better results. As I don't see anything for those dates either -- it makes me thinking I'm just going about it incorrectly

I upgraded to the full version, but don't feel it has changed what I am seeing.

Sorry for asking so many naive questions -- I guess if I could just be sure I was searching on the right tool (worlspan, apollo, etc.) and looking at the right fare code -- I'd feel a LOT better.

Thanks in advance :)

It appears that AF & KL have recently made some changes to the displayed classes... I do know that until now, the FULL-tier version of the Tool did display all AF award booking classes as shown in the chart.

That chart is located in the dedicated KVS Tool AF/KL thread at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3985072 and I will be updating it shortly. In the meantime, you may want to confirm the current AF award booking classes by re-posting your questions in that thread.

I have reposted my questions on the other thread as suggested -- thanks.

So, best I can surmise, the FULL TIER version does not display class "X" for AF. If someone finds this is not the case, please let me know :)

It is unfortunate that AF has decided to stop showing X class. However, you can still see it if you request availability in such a way that you have a connecting intra-European flight. For example, to see AF X-class availability for CDG-JFK, select Apollo: ITN/CWT as your method, enter AMS-JFK as the city pair, then enter AF in the airline field and you will get:

[KVS Availability Tool - Apollo: ITN/CWT/US-NY]
