This is really wonderful, thank you.

I can't get Sabre fares to show in USD. Is that a forever thing or temporary?

I am assuming you have selected "US-USD" as your POS. If so, I would try checking your Internet Explorer cookie settings ...

This is incredible - donation on the way KVS!

I'm using Firefox and have cookie settings set (dangerously?) low. I launched IE, looked at cookie settings there, and don't think there's anything untoward there either. Still doesn't work. (Unless I'm goofing up - have Sabre - Fares listed as "method" and US-USD in POS.)

Not a big deal, I can do the math.

That's strange... Try changing the POS to CA-CAD and DE-EUR, and see if that brings-up fares in CAD/EUR. Then try changing it back to US-USD.

Also, try using the large [VIEW FARES] button at the top -- that should show fares in Firefox.

Is anyone else having a similar problem?

Euros and CAD come up fine, nada with USD.

Which it does just fine, but slower (external link and all.)

So it bring-up USD fares in FireFox?

Sounds like an issue with the IE engine... Try clearing your IE cache and cookies and then restart Windows -- that might help.

It launches a Firefox window that goes to Amadeus or Travelocity and pulls up their fare table in USD. It doesn't paint the fares onto the main KVS screen like it does when CA-CAD or EUR is specified in the POS.

FWIW, Firefox is my default browser and any new windows KVS opens are in FFx, not IE. Tired of security "patches" that don't in IE.

I'll restart Windows later. I've already cleared memory and cache. I don't want to blanket-remove cookies as I have several that I access frequently. At the moment I can't see any KVS-oriented cookies in the list. What types are they?

(Again, this is a very minor complaint; I'm grateful for your excellent product.)

The Tool always uses the IE engine internally (even if your default browser is Firefox). However, all the browser-based functionality will open in your default browser.

So when I was talking about cookies, I was referring to IE cookies, and not your Firefox cookies. The ones you would want to delete have the word "Expedia" in them...

The lite version is awesome, can't wait for the full. Went to make a donation, but the amazon payment said you cannot receive donations at the moment? I'm going to try to figure out how that other one works.

Yes definitely - I can get the fares to come up in KVS on all other than US-USD - which gives nothing back.

Could you try following the troubleshooting steps posted above (starting from post #533)?

Gardyloo Oct 21, 2005 12:46 pm

I did all those things and it still doesn't show USD. It does, however, on the second (home) computer that I have registered, also running Firefox. Curious.
