That's not a fair comparison at all. Free tools like the Wandering Aramean Availability tool are quite similar.

That's true -- most imitations always have some similarities with the originals, by definition ;).

Whats this Wandering Aramean Availability Tool?
If it works, please let me know what this is is. I had to tell 4 people politely to jump in the lake, because there was no hike available. What do you have mr(s) kvs for the following award tix available: leaving/returning to either MUC, FRA or ZRH TO HKG on 18 SEP 2010 in First, stay there about 24 hours and return. this is for 1 pax. either with LH, LX or BA, CX (from/to AMS) PS: Do you have any idea why when choosing asiamiles (number and pin ARE correct), kvs freezes and crashes (when performing a search). this problem remains even after upgrading (reinstalling anew). |

So you admit that your previous post was intended to purposefully deceive and mislead folks?

Just tried using KVS and looks like it's now working. ^

Is this happening on one or both of your machines? |

Have KVS Tool since appr. 1 week and have major stability problems. Seldom works longer than 5 minutes in a row without coming down.
Running Vista home premium.

Can I delete installation and reinstall it with the same old key ( hardware doesn't change, so machine No. shouldn't change also )

Also think I have to install machine No. 3, which is an old but perfect running XP Professional System.

Regarding the following KVS tool displays of seat availability on the YOW-YYZ and the YYZ-LAS flights, there are 2 issues:
A. I had bought a revenue ticket some time ago, whereby I would go from YOW to LAS on AC on Nov 11, and come back on Nov 15. I was originally booked on the 10 AM flight from YOW to YYZ; however, Air Canada sent me an email this morning that the 10 AM flight has been cancelled. I was re-booked on the 9 AM flight. I am booked to go on AC 597 from YYZ to LAS, departing at 1:10 PM. This and the other KVS tool availability functions do not yet reflect that cancellation. B. My wife and I plan to go to Las Vegas that day; I wish to book a business class seat through my Aeroplan account for her. Obviously, I wish to book her to be on the same flights as I am booked on. The Aeroplan web site is showing that I will get a non-priority award if she goes on the 11 AM flight, and then go on a flight to Denver on AC, and on a flight from Denver to LAS on UA. My Aeroplan award account shows that I can book her on the 9 or 11 (or 10) AM flight from YOW to YYZ, and then AC 597, leaving at 1:10 PM. However, it is listed as classic plus award, with a 92,000 Aeroplan mile requirement, rather than a 40,000 mile requirement. Realizing that even with SEs, there is some capacity control to IKK award bookings, I still see no reason based on data from the KVS tool why the Aeroplan web site would require 92,000 miles, if I book the 9 AM flight from YOW to YYZ and then on AC 597 leaving YYZ at 1:10 PM. Any thoughts? [KVS Availability Tool 5.7.4/Diamond - Sabre: Availability/FS/US] Code:

It is distressing to see a FT Moderator flaming another Flyertalker.
I would like to thank ALL Flyertalkers who provide service of any kind for the rest of the forum members. Eileen |

I would like to thank ALL Flyertalkers who provide service of any kind for the rest of the forum members. Eileen Since when is trying to help others by pointing out that there are other tools available while this one is down inappropriate? And pointing out that the responses to such suggestions are misleading at best is an action that I have no problem repeating. I have no problem with KVS selling the tool to folks so long as the customers are aware that what they're buying is also available for free. When such posts are met with suggestions that the other sources are not, in fact, able to actually perform the same way I will question it. When the responses are simply incoherent babbling I'll laugh at it. I don't really think that's a problem. ETA: I can understand why my responses might not be appreciated by the guy doing the selling, but I am quite comfortable in creating an environment of full disclosure of information rather than obfuscating and misleading existing or potential customers. |

You know that there are other free resources out there that provide access to the same data, right?? |

Yes, there are. But KVS is way easier and simpler to use. The interface is easier because a browser is not needed. When KVS is down, I have to use other stuff but KVS is my preferred tool to use.
