In this case, it's actually the opposite of blocking, as AA is making its Award Seats available to partners, but not its own members, which is rather bizarre.

Unless AA is trying to get other FF's to move to AA, by "showing" the product by way of award availability. Many timeshares will only allow people to trade in a small # of weeks - or even 1 year in 4. That's to keep new blood coming in so they can try and sell them.

delta.com now gives the option for a "Password" rather than PIN+Last Name, but it's not required yet. (I'm resisting as long as I can.)

7.0.9 won't allow me to search on DL 3-Tier nor SkyTeam without having this new Password. I've enter and re-entered my current PIN, but it keeps taking me back to the screen to enter my new "Password."

Was this intended? Any ability to accommodate *both* options in the short term?

Just upgraded to 7.1.0 on MAC under CrossOver. *A under Awards/AC-StarAlliance gives error 12045. The KVS website directs you to a Microsoft link that wants to run Genuine Windows Validation to update Root Certificates. This is not possible under CrossOver. Are there any other ways to upgrade the Root Certificates?

Download VirtualBox and use that instead. It's like Boot Camp but runs as a window in OS X so you can access both systems at once, and also share clipboards etc. I'd really recommend it, and it's free.

I've used KVS under CrossOver and find VirtualBox to be better anyway :eek: But with VB I can use it simultaneously with AirlineRouteMapper..

Checking availability on UA 1140 RSW-CLE Dec 5 -- KVS shows Y4, but united.com shows Y9. Why the discrepancy?

Also, when I use airport code RSW in the Fares tab with the Sabre method, I get a datasource error "minimum advance booking of 48 hours required". This has been broken for a while now. If I switch to the Galileo method, it works.

Am I doing something wrong, or is KVS just crap at finding real world cheaper fares?

I'm trying to find the cheapest way of getting from SYD-LON, leaving at the start of January and returning by the 12th of February. I search the KVSTool and find the three cheapest are with air china:

Ok, great - so I copy those to the ITA tool using option provided, and...the ITA tool doesn't find anything for those dates. For any of those fares.

What's going on? Why is it showing me fares for a specific date and telling me to go to ITA, and yet ITA shows nothing? How do I find the cheapest fares for those dates?

It's not actually a discrepancy -- depending on the airline, cabin and the GDS system used, the maximum number of seats shown can be one of the following: 9, 7 or 4.

Please use the [ITA: Awards-Upgrades/UA] Method, which will show up to 9 Seats for UA flights.

This is a limitation of the [DotRes] Engine -- please adjust the Date to be at least 48 hours into the future or use a different Fares Method.

It shows a lot of availability on CX367 on V class (V9). When I called CX office, they told me there is no V class availability on that flight and it has to wait list.....

So my question, how can I get very different result?

Hi. I continue to have problems pulling up routing rules on international flights. It either times out or gives a busy error message. I'd say 75% of the time I am not successful. Any suggetions appreciated. Currently I'm trying to see routing for

I do. Even I did PVG-BKK the result is the same. It still show high availability on CX357 connecting to either CX701/703 on V class. I think even now CX website cannot quote me on V class on CX357/701 or 703. only L class avail for CX357/703 and M class on CX357/701

could someone please help me find award availability for tomorrow (monday, 9 december) on LX from HKG-ZRH in C

On my mac the ANA tool via KVS doesnt seem to work... it always gives me an error message saying that the tool isnt supported on my device :(

Tomorrow (Monday) is the 10th, not the 9th. LX 139 has no award availability in any class.

EF does show 04 I2 for Miles & More members, but none for Star Alliance partners.

If you are using CrossOver Mac, you need to use the [Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Method instead of [Awards/StarAlliance]:

I am trying to use the tool to find awards fro CLT to PRG. I never ge any results; I get a message saying "No Results / Route Too Complex." I believe I can fly a combination of US and LH...why can't I get any results in KVS?

When I try to use Awards/OneWorld, I get this error message. Any solution?

Error 12157: The Application Experienced An Internal Error Loading The SSL libraries.
Disconnected.

Error 9002: No Data received
Disconnected.

Amadeus:awards/oneworld asking for Qantas FF no

Hi I an a newbie to KVS, just upgraded to Platinum v 7.1.1

Trying to check First class award/upgrades for a BA flight ICN-LHR on 06/01/13, I have seen the message on the KVS web site saying:

[Awards/BA-OneWorld] Method Temporarily Unavailable 11 Dec 2012
An updated version will be released shortly. In the meantime, please use the [Awards/OneWorld] Method.

So I select method as Amadeus:awards/oneworld

I then get "requested method requires a Qantas FF number, which I don't have as I am BAEC based in London.

The POS offers me values AU-QFA-SP1/SP2/MLT/OWY - not sure what these mean but I am interpreting them as Australia and Qantas in some way, maybe?

Any ideas, all help appreciated.
