Can the KVS availability tool once-again provide paid fare availability for BA through the main (downloadable) program (rather than only through the app)?
Thanks in advance /d'Yquem |
My subscription to KVS has expired. Could I impose on some nice person to let me know the availability of coach seats on BA 0288 departing PHX on Oct 21? I am trying to figure out if I should pay for a seat assignment.
Thank You |

Thanks, that worked!
Other question: When I search for YVR-KTM awards, nothing shows up. BUT when I search, e.g. HKG-KTM - Award found (e.g. October 27) YVR-HKG - award found (e.g. October 26 or 27) but when I search for YVR-KTM, I get nothing. [KVS Tool 7.8.4/Diamond - Awards/JL-OneWorld/US] Code:
YVR Vancouver Metro / Intl BC CA = YVR CXH [CYVR]

It shouldn't be a too many segments problem, as I think the upper limit for KVStool was 5 segments?

Thank you very much KVS.

KVS Tool has a 400 queries limit, it seems. But I cannot find out whether that's a daily, weekly, or monthly limit and when it gets reset.
Anybody has any insights? |

As always, no limits apply to the main KVS Tool application. |

Bummer. The last week of the month will be the time I travel and when I will be needing the tool the most.

The MC usage policy is actually noted on the Membership/Sign-Up page. I do not doubt it must be noted somewhere. |

Hey - surprises like this are just another part of what you buy when using the KVS Tool. The data that KVS allows unlimited access to is being provided contrary to the policies of its owners. I'd bet that KVS actually pays for the data distributed by the 'companion' hence the limitati:rolleyes:ns. Clearly, KVS's business practices show that that the company feels it's okay to give access to unlimited data if they don't have to pay for it (because it's not KVS's to give away).

It shouldn't be a big surprise. On the webpage that lists the various membership levels and prices it states at the bottom: Mobile Companion access is subject to a Fair Usage policy. It would seem, at least to me, that 400 inquiries in a month is certainly well beyond what would be considered "fair usage".
I am not sure whether 400 is fair or not, but this is my usage: I am monitoring availability of CX HKG to 3 west coast cities on a given day. Because the time of departure is around mid-night, every time I do a search, I have to run essentially six queries. As of yesterday, I was at 335, I think, before the reset. |
@geclub1 abuse is abuse. 400 is more than fair.
