I am a former EF customer who left when UA no longer supported. Looking for option to automatically and routinely search for Saver F availability on UA/partners. Will KVS provide this?

Is there email or text notification if the auto search provides a "hit" on the seat availability?

Can one search for specific seats in a specific cabin?

Are you happy with your subscription?

Many thanks!

KVS does not do auto searches. You must search yourself, as often as you wish. You can save a search so that you don't have to enter all the parameters each time. You can't search for specific seats but you can view an active seat map.

I've been extremely happy with my subscription. For me, KVS gives me much more award availability for OneWorld carriers that EF can't provide.

For what you want I think www.awardnexus.com is a better fit than KVS.

Can some one help me how to read KVS searches for Star Alliance?

I was searching for REP-SFO and the two line display shows CS+ YS+ in the first line and a blank on the second line. Does this mean the second line/segment has NO availability, or the SAME availability as the first line/segment?

Also for a given day I see award availability for SFO-REP (via ICN) but if I do a search for the same award ICN-REP there is no availability. This is somewhat confusing.

Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Award Availability
--------- ------ ---- -------- ---- -------- --- -- ------------------
OZ 738 REP 23:40 ICN 07:00 +1 321 CS+ YS+
-> OZ 212 ICN 16:40 +1 SFO 10:00 +1 77L

The [Awards/StarAlliance] Engine displays Award Availability on a Per-Trip basis, so the same Availability applies to all Segments.

If you would prefer to see Availability for each Segment, you can use the [Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Method instead.

What is the Flight #/Date?

@KVS - What have you done to get the issues with CrossOver resolved? I posted a question in the CodeWeavers forum as KVS shows as a gold supported application, & received the following reply:

"KVS Tool has not been ranked since CrossOver 13.0.1 and it's rank is "Unsupported", this means we do not regularly test this application in-house.

https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/kvs-availability-too
l

The best thing you can do is to contact our Support Team by filling out this form:

https://www.codeweavers.com/about/general/contact_us_form/#info

Our Support Team may be able to help but they will need to know what you did to get to the error you're seeing."

Since this is your program and CrossOver is the 1st method listed on your website for MAC users, it is YOUR responsibility to follow up with CodeWeavers to get a fix or else modify your program. It is entirely unsatisfactory to expect Macintosh users to have to pay even more for another emulator & then a Microsoft OS just because you can't write a native OSX application, but are quite happy to take our money!

I bought my diamond membership on Wednesday. Having tried to install kvstool on my 64-bit Win 7 OS however it keeps giving me error message at the end of the installation, saying "ole2.dll is either not designed to run on windows". Although the installation success still pops up after closing the error box. However when I rebooted my system and tried to open KVS it gives me the error " Component 'COMCTL32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

Thanks

We do liaise with CrossOver's technical teams and have opened the appropriate bug reports in their system, which they have acknowledged. However, we have no control over when (or if) they will actually fix them.

The bug is in the CrossOver/WINE system itself, so we are not in a position to fix it. There is no modification that can be done within the KVS Tool itself.

Indeed, 100% compatibility can be achieved by using Parallels Desktop / VMWare Fusion / VirtualBox / Apple Boot Camp instead.

Please try right-clicking the Setup file and selecting "Run As Administrator".

Alternatively, try using the [Portable Installation] option during the Setup.

Are you going to provide me with a FREE copy of Windows? There is no way I would ever pay for an OS that has spawned an entire industry to try and get around viruses etc that Microsoft is powerless to stop. The ONLY reason I use CrossOver for KVS is that there I don't have to worry about Windows vulnerabilities.

How about with the money you are making from Macintosh users that you employ someone who can write OS X code to develop a Mac specific product.

You don't need to worry about "Windows vulnerabilities" if you use one of the Virtual Machine solutions.

That probably won't happen for the same reason that the data KVS uses is n;)t authorized -- it cuts into the pr:ofits.

It is now installed. I successfully registered yesterday and how long it takes to process my permanent registration. Meanwhile I cannot log on to mobile companion given the temp user and pw in my email.

Hi friends,

I just renewed my KVS availability tool Gold membership. I am planning a trip to London and India with my partner, and wanted to check on flight availability (revenue seats) not award.

I was under the impression that the tool still had the fare availability functionality, i.e. to show fare classes and available seats (revenue seats not award)

Is this the case? Or I am out of luck?

Thank you,
wonderfultravels

Jesus Christ! What a load of rubbish!!! What a ridiculous claim!!! You have exceeded every misinformation you gave ever before...
People, please ignore that claim! Running windows (or any other platform) in virtual environment, does not remove any vulnerabilities!!! They are there the same way as they would be on bare metal...
