Hi,
I have an upcoming trip on AA: JFK-MXP in J, then FCO-LHR-JFK in Y. Fare code: ILN0T1S5 Is there a way to see the breakdown of the cost by leg? Trying to estimate the Loyalty Points (LP's) from this trip as it will overlap the AA 'cut-off' for Status (Feb 28 2025). |

A new problem?
I've tried searching for the visa requirements for a couple of nationalities and a couple of destination countries (Australian and Irish nationalities, and destinations of Vietman and Uganda) And I'm always getting the same response - "There were no results for you search" Hopefully this will be a transient problem...

Incorrect Availability in D class on Expertflyer.com?
Hey community, I'm guessing this issue has been dealt with before but i can't find previous threads.
I'm using expertflyer primarily to check for D class availability on One World explorer tickets that require D (e.g. DONE4, DONE5 etc). What I'm finding is that it can show D class on an availability search in expertflyer, but the same flight availability doesnt show up in AA's systems, or major GDS like Amadeus in UK. I've tried changing the 'point of sale' in expertflyer but it still shows 5 x D class seats on a JL flight HND-BKK on the 17th March, wheras its just not showing available in other systems. Is there any way to 'fix' this? Or indeed are there any other ways to check GDS's online? (I used to be a travel agent but no longer have access to these systems) Many thanks for your thoughts. |

Thanks TKMAXX ! To clarify, I'm not looking for the cheapest fares, as thats done already- I'm just needing to see the correct availability in D to know what flights I can use within the fare rules of this ticket (in my case a DONE5 originating in Oslo).

I think the only known way around this is to work with a travel agent who will see what is genuinely going to be ticketed by whichever airline they use then ticket this through. |

Yeah, the airlines restrict the D availability based on the fact you are originating from Norway, not just the point of sale being Norway!

It would be great if anyone could advise how to emulate POI im searches. If there is a way (without searching availability from an existing booking) then we will be able to help EF to add this functionality.
Btw POI logic is there on ITA Matrix as far as I can see. At the same time ITA, Matrix is unable to validate longer married segments (for example, EY segments are married for up to 96 hrs stopovers in AUH while Matrix will likely not show accurate availability for such segments). |
Maybe this has been answered before, I tried searching but no luck...
When searching availability, sometimes there is a "Get more data" link below the returned table. Sometimes it even briefly shows then disappears. Sometimes there is none. However in most cases there *is* more data. Can anybody explain this mystery? Is this a bug? (latest Safari and Chrome on OS X) Many thanks |

EF having issues with B6 seat maps at the moment? Looking at my upcoming LAX-FLL flight and the throne seats in Row 2 are both showing open. On the B6 seat map both have an "X" and I cant select them. Currently I have Row 4 but their food service is so slow I would like to get closer to the front.

Just an FYI, NH and HA seat maps appear to be working fine, although formatting may be awkward.

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to learn how to use ExpertFlyer properly, and I wanted to book a Business Class flight using some Miles & More miles. Specifically, I’m looking at ORD-HND on ANA for January 27, 2026. ExpertFlyer shows plenty of available seats, but when I check on Lufthansa, Air Canada, and United, I don’t see any award availability. The only place I see the flight listed is on ANA’s website, but it’s marked as “waiting list”. I’ve also noticed this issue on other dates, not just January 27. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a way to actually book this flight using Miles & More? Any help would be greatly appreciated! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a65981cdd.jpeg Thanks! |

You are using the flight availability search, but what you should be using is the "Awards & Upgrades" search. But, I just checked and ExpertFlyer is not currently supporting searching for awards on ANA, so you really can't use EF for this search as of now. The flight availability search you are using only searches for paid flights, not awards, and unless the flight is sold out paid flights will always show as available. The EF Awards & Upgrades search is needed to search for award space. The good news is that ORD-HND is available with Miles & More on January 26th, 2026 in both Business and First, and in First on January 28th. You should book it. If you can't tolerate a one day shift in schedule to snag an award flight a year out...well, good luck! |
