Those pesky secret moderation best practices causing consternation among the posters again. :(

I noticed the counting thread that, IMHO, was the cause of all this angst hasn't been moved, but others have. Any thread that consists of nothing but numbers should go into games, as should all the contests in Community.

Are you saying that they're not going to be moved?

We haven't had a chance to find all the counting threads and their like yet. Haven't had time to pour thru the annals of OMNI.

I would gently suggest that anyone who thinks a thread qualifies as a games thread that should be in the new games forum PM the link to the Omni mods (or to the regular forum mods if such a thread is in a different forum), rather than posting in this thread.

Excuse me, did you losing the post count? You shouldn't do it. You have no right to taking it away the post count. You have leave the post count alone. You have no reason to reduced the post count. Nobody ever to reduced the post count in Games Forum. Please let's do the right thing to do to reactivated the post count in the Games Forum again. You shouldn't trusted to other member's rights.

Think you're going to have to introduce that to next year's Talk Board. Why would the current Talk Board reverse a vote they just took?

I didn't win the Talkboard member last year. I will have reconsider it again. If I can win the Talkboard member. This is only hope.

What cholula said is that the Omni mods have not had time to go through all of Omni to move game threads to Omni Games, and it will take some time.

For someone new to reading this thread:

If it's a game thread, you very well could lose the post count if the original post was made when the posts counted (before 2008).

I'd like to see Randy's contest threads moved to the game forum (non-counting) as well as, to me, those were the worst examples of post-padding ever seen here at FT.

Again, this does not bother me at all but you might want to brace yourself for the shock waves if this is done. The top poster in the Come Fly to Me — The Great FlyerTalk Mileage Run thread had 8501 posts and several more members were in the thousands.

I can imagine the reaction of some very upset people. :D
