Hey, that's nothing. You should see the padders delight that several posters were near 20k posts :)

Might be worth PMing the CB/Omni mods with the suggestion & providing links to the threads.

OMG - I hadn't looked at those threads - there's nearly 400k posts in those alone
Did you PM the mods of that forum? |

It's not secret. Click here and you can read exactly what Cholula posted: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/omni-366/
And she commented elsewhere that moving games to that forum should be the exception rather than the rule. So only games with little or no visible human interaction will populate the new Forum. |

Did you PM the mods of that forum? To me it's a no-brainer to move those threads, but it's not my call. |

I just sent PMs to the moderators of OMNI/Games and CommunityBuzz and also to the CD.

these threads will remain in communitybuzz! for historical reasons.
These threads were part of the issue regarding meaningless post counts. They fit the description and definition perfectly for the game forum. I think they're all locked, so no matter where they go, they will stand for historical purposes. I'm curious what the historical purpose would be. Most of the posts in them say nothing at all. |

* The Forum Which Must Not Be Named as well as SlickDeals & FatWallet use peer review to good effect as well. |

Yes, it is important to never, ever forget that fall is the time to post pad for profit! :D^ |

ROFLMAO.
Randy ran those threads on purpose in CBuzz so the posts would count. And he also publicized that fact to the participants. we do not try to change history, but move forward ... |

The motion from TB was about the Games in OMNI and where they should be placed. A separate motion was passed that suggested the post in the OMNI/Games threads not count. From that point, the implementation and operation is turned over to the moderators of that forum and the CD.
There was nothing in the motion regarding the games/contests which Randy placed in Community for a specific reason. And one of the reasons was so the posts DID count. And he made it very clear, publicly, that the posts would count. That was his decision to make and we respected his decision. Those threads and, in fact, Randy as the owner of FT, are now a part of FT history. The majority of those of us weighing in on this issue this morning agree to leave the threads where they are and move on. Plus, one more point, TB only recommends things to the CD who has the final decision to implement or not. TB, itself, has no authority over the moderation of the various forums which includes what thread to move where. PS: While I was slowly doing my trademark hunt and peck typing of this post, I see chrissxb further weighed in with similar commentary. |
