One other benefit might be suggested local restaurants and other business venues that visitors might be interested in which are recommended by other foursquare users.

i have come across 2 such properties & neither of them posted the 250 bonus points....it has now been almost a month since the earlier stay & about 2 weeks since the later one....my other 8-10 check-ins resulted in points posting correctly....

Well, that was my last SPG stay during this promo period and a bit of a bummer that the LM KUL didn't seem to have a Foursquare special listed, as I did want to cross a certain points threshold that I'm now uncertain will be crossed.
No joy also from my other Foursquare check-in 5 weeks ago and haven't heard back from the Lurkers if they've heard back from Foursquare/the property concerned.
All in all, a few hits, and a few misses, but more hits than misses. Would still be great to get the remainder 500 points, however...

Cross checked my account today after hearing all these instances of foursquare bonus not posting. All 17 of my last stays have posted for the foursquare bonus. One even double posted it seems.

My last FS bonus that posted for a stay on July 22. Since then I have had 4 stays posted with no blueberries since then. 
Is this what others are seeing also? And yes, I know they have "approximately 2-3 weeks" to post according to the T&Cs. Read the blueberry explanation in the link above.

I told them it needed replacing and mahasamatman gave them the part number and ordering info. Either of us could fix it but we don't have the keys to the car or their shop. The car was dropped off 9 days ago and it is still in the shop with no promise of when the repair will be completed. In a week it will be a moot point since the car is going to the crusher after the end of the month.

Four Points by Sheraton Phoenix North has 2 foursquare IDs https://foursquare.com/venue/1240315 and https://foursquare.com/venue/10984715. It looks like the later is the one that gets the bonus points ....
Only my first 3 stays there, out of 7, posted the FS bonii. I suspect this was because of the merge of the 2 venues.
What a confusing mess. They actually expect people to use this. I guess the intent is to get people to continue doing check-ins. But now that the FB and FS promos are over I see no benefit in spamming my friend's news feeds That is if this alter ego ever gets any. My real friends would get tired of all the spam if I checked in everywhere and probably unfriend me. I actually already got complaints on this. For those of us who travel a lot and stay in so many hotels it gives some of my friends the impression that I am bragging about all this and that is not my intent.
We can "brag" on FT about our travels but do my other friends really want to see 38 flight segments in 2 weeks or hotel hopping every day on their news feeds.

BTW the FS promo is still being advertised on the spg.com page. Refresh a few times and you will see the promo as shown in the lower right of the screenshot below. However it does say it is good through July 31, 2011. My calendar says that date has passed

Just an update. The seven pending check-ins (both Facebook and Foursquare) that had not posted on my account have all "been approved" and will post within the next 5 business days. Two of the nine missing ones were previously approved and posted, so these are the last ones. YAY!
