Guess I should have checked it had been fixed . Sounds like the repair shop I (sadly) use for my car...

Have got my stays for last weekend credited from the Royal Orchid Sheraton but not Sheraton Saigon's from a month ago now (thanks in advance to William for following it up - but they are yet to post)

It looks like they are now posting with or shorty after the stay credits. ^ That is the way all promos should be.

But still no facebook credits

I spoke too soon, it is actually a day after the stay credit posts. I have so many stays at the same property that I did correctly notice the corresponding stays and foursquare credits. I would prefer it be at the same time but this is faster the the T&Cs state.

So it looks like after Sunday, there's no benefit to using FourSquare.

I would be curious what the next bonus will be ... unless they decide to extend the foursquare bonus due to the program's popularity both with SPG members and in the social media community in general (SPG has been recognized as one of the best large-scale foursquare promotions to date).

Also, foursqare v3.1 is now available for BB smartphones.

I don't see any benefit except earning foursquare points. That is unless you want the bragging rights of being a possible mayor

There are often specials on Foursquare, such as free drinks and discounts, that are offered by some venues. But you won't know about them if you stop using Foursquare.

One other benefit might be suggested local restaurants and other business venues that visitors might be interested in which are recommended by other foursquare users.

In my experience, those seem pretty sparse right now. I think I've only found one in the past three months that was of any value.

My favorite bar gives free drinks on Tuesdays to customers who check in on Foursquare. I use it every week I am home.

I was speaking specifically about checking into Starwood properties. As others have mentioned there may be "specials" nearby but you don't have to checkin to a Starwood property and spam your newsfeed to see them. As a mayor of one Starwood property I see no advantage to do Starwood checkins after the promo is over.

Please enlighten me if I am wrong.

Lurkers, I tried doing a search but am not sure if it's been mentioned previously.

I'm currently at the Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur and I've been able to find Foursquare 'specials' at each of the hotel's restaurants (10% off at Favolo or Prime or Latest Recipe).

Unfortunately, no mention whatsoever of checking-in for 250 Starpoints. I tried upon check-in at 10pm last night, and I've tried again a few minutes ago. (from an iPod Touch that has worked perfectly fine the last 6-7 times I've tried to check-in.

Front desk seems to have no clue, and their SPG champion only comes in to work on the 3rd of August, i.e. after the promo's ended.

Help!

(I've checked-into all three of the hotel restaurants in a desperate attempt to not forego those 250 points but is it in vain?! I need to check out in about 1.5 hours latest and it's 8:30AM here now... :P)

Looks like one they missed. I'd recommend checking into property id 1444970, as that's the one with the most activity and looks like the "official" one.
