My points have been crediting just fine, but I've also been using the mobile app and actually within distance of the properties.

I am not having good luck with these points posting. I had a stay very shortly after this promo kicked off and everything worked perfectly and the credit posted within a day or two. Wonderful.
Then, my next 4 stays have not posted. I am 100% certain that I did everything correctly and absolutely made sure that the orange "SPECIAL OFFER" box was showing when I checked in at each property. And, yes, I was on site at each property and a registered guest when I "check in."
With that said, I had a very frustrating call this afternoon to the Plat desk. A pleasant young man answered and I outlined the above for him. He told me he had no idea what FOURSQUARE was -- that took me by surprise. I told him it had been one of the lead banners on the spg site now for a full month. I went on to explain the program and much of the T&Cs to him. I advised that my points hadn't posted and that only my first one posted. At first, he insisted that there was no such thing as a FOURAQUARE 250 point bonus, but he finally found it after I pressed him to keep looking.
Put me on hold for 5 minutes.
Came back and told me that his "colleague" told him that the only way to get these points was to BOOK the reservation on the www.foursquare.com website. I told him that was positively incorrect information and that there was NO WAY to book a room on foursqaure. AAARRRGGGHHHHHH ! ! ! !
Some more back and forth went on and I'm still not sure that he fully understood what I was talking about at all. In the end, I sent in an email to the address that another poster listed above and received a solid email reply within 20 minutes. They acknowledge that they are having "unanticipated issues" with this promotion on the backend tracking and are working to resolve.
I'd simply encourage anyone missing points on this promo to bypass the phone lines and email the address listed above in BenSenise's post this morning. Worked like a charm for me.

I've noticed that there are often duplicate venues for hotels: for instance Sheraton Offenbach has:
4 entries as a hotel
1 as a bar
2 as a restaurant.
To get the points to post effortly, I guess one must check-in on the official promo venue (not on a duplicate).
The official venue (for promo purposes) will have the orange 'special' box in top right corner....
You may have to generate a list of 'Specials Nearby' to actually find the official promo venue.
good luck...

I checked in at one hotel (Sheraton Hongkou) where I was physically in the hotel, but FourSquare didn't think I was because the location in FourSquare is actually 2 miles from the hotel. And the points still posted just fine.

Am at this hotel now, and can't find the check in special as well. I guess will go ahead and check in and see what happens.

I have had good luck with two-out-of-two and have three in the pipeline. The 250 FQ bonus seem to be posting within a day or two after the regular Starpoint post to the account.

My experience with three properties and four check-ins was that the bonus was only showing as unlocked once I had already checked into the hotel and the local system seemingly updated a central Starwood system that I was now a current guest. It'd be great to get some confirmation from the Lurkers about this.
