So, it's currently using the correct formula. If you previously saw it cheaper (in points) it must have been a glitch.
Thanks, that makes a little bit of sense. $116.19 x 69.5 point/$1 = 8075

I bet their calculation on that route was slightly off. The price hasn't changed on the flight since it became available.

News? Meaning information that they could have disclosed with the original announcement but decided to disclose at some randomly chosen later date? No, there is no such news, nor will there be.

The increase for point redemption is starting on apr 17 or for flight scheduled on apr 17 onwards (i.e. it's already factored in for certain flights for which that change will be applicable)? In other word, should I book all my 2015 reward trips prior to apr 17?

That would be a great plan but unfortunately you can only book through October 30 as the new schedule doesn't open until mid May.

12.5 K MSP/BDL flights are back. I love it, about 2 hours wheels up to wheels down ( 2:40 on the way back) vs a minimum of 4 1/2 hours on any other airline as Delta is the only airline the flies that route nonstop.

I just looked and MSP/TPA for April is also 12.5 K non stop

Who said the value of miles only declines ?

50 is the new 25. Has Southwest's IT staff been pressed into service doing the math on gift card redemptions?

I'll be surprised if I actually receive 10 $50 GCs and 1 $25 GC, but if I do...then what! I don't have any more points they could debit (expect the 22 left in my account, which they're welcome to have!). I don't usually get 2cpp from miles unless I go TATL!

My Southwest RR balance was -45,000 points for quite some time.

(IT glich moving points to Airtran. Page cannot be displayed error so I hit refresh. I got 2x the Airtran credits so I just treated it a as a loan.)

My order history online shows 28K points and $275 as it should. Account balance still reflects properly. Probably just an e-mail glitch, but it will be interesting to see what comes in the mail.

The electronic version of the inflight magazine has nothing points related from GK or any obvious changes to the Rapid Rewards section. No early tells there.

It's probably factored in on forecast but I assume things could change upward on other flights based on advance booking activity.

Then again it's possible though unlikely point bookings might get less expensive if expected advance cash bookings don't materialize.

With points you have nothing to lose by booking early and watching for any changes.
