Yea a third choice would have been nice, but since I had my fill of eggs in the Polaris lounge, the French Toast was good for me and it was actually pretty tasty.

Not a single person likes the soda pop predeparture "champagne". How much of that do they throw away?
So easy to get a reasonably priced Prosecco or Cava
14 plus hour flights with no appetizer? Seriously?
When did a salad become an appetizer?
Please have pay for meals in first/business class if you must.

The veal dish in post 1217 is well presented (but I'm surprised United is serving veal as the beef protein given the moral objections many have); and the broccolini in post 1218 might be the largest vegetable serving I've ever seen on a United flight (or any airline, for that matter)!

I am also surprised to see it being offered BER/FRA/MUC/AMS/BRU/ZRH to US. Hope one of the Flyertalkers is on of these flights can report back with photos. Odd to see GVA not on the list.

PDB of water, juice, or sparkling wine. I ordered the cod "sashimi", the purser came around taking orders and told everyone that it was in fact cooked cod. Champagne was Castelnau Reserve. Now for the cod:

Bread was cold, "salad" was not good, cod was dry, tough, and not good. Gianduja chocolate cake:

It was fine. For the pre-arrival meal, I ordered the couscous:

The couscous was better than the cod at any rate.

Spare yourself the misery; I ordered it today. MUC-SFO on August 15th. Boarding was exceptionally chaotic. Menu:

I will also confess that I lack a very refined palette when it comes to wine. All I'll say is that it was good. Flying Machine seems familiar with it though, if he wants to provide any input.
