There is some leeway with this, but not sure exactly what. It seems to me that if I do not manage to redeem every 30 days and miss a date, I then can redeem sooner than 30 days next time, but after that I cannot do it anymore and have to wait full 30 days. Haven't paid attention to check exactly how it works.

The system has been a bit odd for the last few days with redemptions.

last Thursday I redeemed and it was about seven hours later before I received a confirmation email.

I’ve done another redemption today. The points came off immediately, however the redemption was not showing in the redeemed section for over two hours when the email confirmation appeared.

Hi I too have become victim to the "An error has occurred .Please try again" message when trying to redeem . I got the standard message stating clear cache cookies etc from E Rewards but still no luck after 3 days . Does anyone have any other suggestions ?I've tried Firefox and Chrome also incognito windows . Its very frustrating .

After clearing the cache, did you attempt a survey before then trying to redeem again? I was told to do that before trying to redeem again. If it still didn't work, I was advised to wait 24 hours and then try to redeem. I don't know how much of this is script and how much actually follows logic. Also, I was advised to only use Firefox or Chrome. At this time I was having my issues, I was still dinking around with Edge.

Has anyone had experience in redeeming AA miles?

Need to generate an activity to keep account alive. Wonder how long it takes for eReward transfer? Anybody has data point?

I haven't for years so can't help there. However if you want a quick 5 AA miles, comment on the Awardwallet blog. Posts within two or three working days, a week max.

Thanks. Will check that out. The current AA40thyear celebration said once you participate, your miles will be extended to Sept but I haven;t seen the change in the account. It still shows Jul.

Thanks for the time frame info. Account expires Jul 8th, so should do it safe within first 2 weeks of June, just the lowest amount. If the Awardwallet.blog still works that would be the best.

fine print in AA 40th celebration tells me that miles won't post till 6-8 weeks after contest ends.

Do the award wallet first probably a safer bet

I am looking at awardwallet site - dont see how to post on its blog - I guess it requires an awardwallet account first... then may be under account menu there is the mechanism to post...

Yes, you need an AwardWallet account. More info here - https://awardwallet.com/blog/earn-bo...or-commenting/

Also, no idea why, but I made a comment just to extend miles myself last week and so far my one comment has generated 4 x 5 miles from AwardWallet!

Larger than expected reward

In the past, on rare occasions, I participate in a survey that asks if you will do a follow-on at some point for fairly big rewards (compared to what I normally get). And normally I have to send E-rewards a half dozen emails trying to get the credit that never posts... But I had one a week ago that promised $25 "in points equivalent in your membership account." As always I kept the original email to fight with E-rewards.

I took the follow-on group survey that lasted around one hour. Two days later E-rewards posted a $69 reward to my account. I think the most I've ever had previously was $17... So I'm assuming this is from that long survey - although I was expecting $25.

Have any of you had a similar experience? I check every day to see if it's still there :-)

I get the big e-Rewards dump like that occasionally. I tend to assume it's something like one deposit for multiple surveys where I allowed my face to be recorded while watching a tv commercial or such.
