The difference being that one used to be able to enter twenty 10-point codes during a promo "day." That's 200 points that are doubled. The new enhancement will limit this to a doubling of 120 points unless MCR changes course and uses a noon-to-noon promo period in the future.

Has anyone ordered the Samsung Mp3 player? If so could you let me know the model. Thanks

Program Enhancement
Just received:
"Starting on February 16th, there's something refreshingly new at My Coke Rewards. The 10 code entries-per-day limit is gone. Now you can enter your codes when you want — up to 120 points per week.* And with the new Weekly Points Tracking Tool it's easy to see how many points you've already entered and how many more points you can still earn for the week." What a joke. Another one of those "refreshing enhancements".:td: |

I received the program enhancement email today. It is worded in such a way that they are relying on the supposition that most people can't multiply and divide. How a potential 700 points or more per week going down to 120 points is an enhancement suggests the promoters need to relearn elementary math.

You're obviously cheating!!
For those interested, here is MCR's explanation on 120 points per week.
More than 97% of our members enter fewer than 120 points per week. For these members, the new weekly points limit gives them more flexibility to enter the codes in a single visit if that works best for them. Less than 3% of our members enter more than 120 points per week, yet these members take over 30% of our rewards. Many of these members enter way more points than any household could possibly buy and drink, so it's clear that they are getting codes from other means. We want to reward the people who are buying our products, so we had to fix this inequity. Keep in mind that 120 points is the same as 40 2-liter bottles or 12 12-packs every week. That's a lot of product for even our most loyal families, and if someone is buying that much of our product, we need to ensure that we have rewards available to reward them. |
who is cheating
who is cheating?
I take it that was an email from MCR to you? what about the small business guy who buys costco products and gets the 25 pointers and sells the cans? is he not allowed to redeem either or should he be buying pepsi products for his small business

I too read the line about convenience to enter a bunch on the day of the week when each member has spare time instead of feeling forced to enter 10 codes a day.
I wish that the newlimit were higher, but I can understand the point reported by CTACSRET. Indeed, a (ridiculous) clause in the T&Cs calls it "fraud" to colllect points from friends to put 'em all in 1 acct.! :p Yeah, right! I can say that my bowel movements are made of chocolate, but that does not make it true :D ! If MCR feels that way, then why bother to offer rewards costing 1000s of points? Indeed, it's their fraud to advertise such rewards only to put them OOS before anyone obeying their rules could get so many points! :td: |

It would be interesting to see what percentage are entering 10codes/day (irrespective of the points), and what percentage of redemptions they account for. It appears that the promotion is maturing, in that Coke is attempting to modify the promotion to deal with the outlyers of the bell curve. Changes to encourage behavior on one side, and other changes to discourage behavior on the other side. |

:td: The program king of devaluation strikes again with the ridiculous 120 points per week limit. Previously, one could enter 10 codes per day for a minimum of 30 points per day or 210 points per week. Now we can only enter 120 points per week. Tell me again, MyCr*pRewards, how this is not frustrating.

PC 500 Point Vouchers Are Back
I redeemed my two for February yesterday. Happy to do so after the discussion last week.:p

I do have one question regarding the "bonus" days. Any chance it will become a bonus week? MCR says the bonus points won't count toward the 120 limit. However, I would hate to enter my 120 points early in the week, then a bonus day appear.

That was never the spirit of the program. No he should not be able to do it.
No you should not take a whole bunch of friends caps and enter them into one account. What about the ghetto thief that goes into sams and takes the numbers off of case packs and never buys the product. Shouldn't be able to do that either. People should not go to the ball field and pick up all of the caps on the ground and enter them either. People should not go in the trash and get the caps out of there. This is just wrong. Only enter what you buy and drink yourself. PS:BS |
