what if your cap/12pk etc does not = 120
lets say I have the following codes to enter for the week
40 three point caps > sum is 120 points no problem 12 twelve packs > sum is 120 no problem how bout 5 twenty-five pointers>sum is 125> would I get 120, 125 (doubt it), 100 (where they don't give partial credit for the last 25 pointer?)????? I know it would be stupid in that instance to do my scenario above, but I was just askin most likely it would be 37 caps (assume i input the caps first) and a 12 packer which would yield 121 pre 2/16 but in this case would it be 121/120/111 with no credit for the last input if it exceeds 120? |
I'm guessing <=120/pts. We'll know in <9/hours. :)

TH, I too have thought of that question. I expect that the last code will be rejected as over the limit, just like an 11th code in a day under the old rules.
Someone could try an experiment of entering (say) 117 points, then a 10 or 20-point code, having a 3-point cap as back-up. |
I wouldn't try it...

the past couple of days. ... so whoever has a bunch of points may want to go immediately TODAY and grab-up whatever you might like before they all go away tomorrow ... These items will move to the sweepstakes section but they won't be reduced downward to 1,000-2,000 MCR points... be assured of that. |
REMINDER REGARDING PC POINTS & other items
REMINDER REGARDING PC POINTS
Restriction of only (2) 500 PC Priority Club points per 30 day period STILL IN FORCE despite the ability to input 120 points all in one day (total restriction of 120 points in a week)... So attempts at getting more than than WILL NOT work despite the quantity number of total points in your single MCR account In other words, IF you have 500 or MORE points in your account AND you have not redeemed for any PC points dfuring the last 30 day period as of February 16 -- all that you will be able to get is TWO (2) 500 PC point rewards .... Those who THINK that they have removed the 2 per month (30 dayh period) only restriction are going to be very sorely disappointed. Therefore for those who want the higher value items that's left better grab this now and do it tonight as within less than 9 hours from now they will magically disappear from view, and all you will see will be the devalued JUNK for 2,000 points and under . . . |

Maybe I'm just slow on the uptake, but I've been following this thread forever and have no clue what you're talking about.
What does one thing (the new 120 point/week limit) have to do the other (the 2 500 PC point per 30 days limit)? What would lead anyone to think the PC award limit is changing? SOME "other" individuals, while not involved with such workaround schemes et al, believe that by building a big hoard of MCR points into their legitimate single MCR account, say, ie., 6,000 points for example, that tomorrow they will be able to seize up MORE than the allotment of 2 rewards per 30 day period -- because of the new "120 points-enter-at-any-time" change. What they are unaware of is that the restriction still is in place and that because of the new change, Coke is hoping that all existing items will go much faster than the current planned TERMINATION OF THE MCR PROGRAM which ENDS NOVEMBER 30, 2009 (with all points needding to be redeemed for anything leftover by DECEMBER 31, 2009 ... It is highly DOUBTFUL that the Coke MCR program will again rollover into 2010 given the current economic situation and the FACTS that Pepsi and Dr Pepper have downsized their promotional programs this year as well... Look for change-over to needle-in-the haystack, next-to-impossible-to-win "Sweepstakes" coming our way for the next promotions from these overpriced sugar-water companies... As for not understanding my "meaning" I won't go into the specifics in great detail IF you yourself can't figure out the "workarounds" referenced... BUT I'm confident Coke MCR promotion managers and Coke marketing execs are well aware of all the possible combination of workaround schemes and want to end this program as fast as possible, thus NO MORE EXPENSIVE ITEMS, existing items to go for Sweepstakes, and the rest of junk to go up first come-first serve grab, grab, grab until it's all exhausted... and some say it'd be all gone before the month of MAY ends... And then what are you going to do with your hoard of MCR points -- just because you have codes does NOT guarantee a prize / reward... there IS a disclaimer in place ... to wit: while supplies last... |
I follow a fair bit of your argument, but don't necessarily agree with your assumptions or conclusions.
But this part still perplexes me, I guess because I AGREE with you:

Anyway, I'm not sure what gave you the idea that I have a hoard of points to spend. Just 500 or so points that I'm hoping to use on 2 more PC points awards when my 30 days are up on Wednesday, and then, if I drink more Coke, a couple of more down road. So, I hope these awards aren't going to be snapped up as quickly as you predict, but its no big deal either way. |

But this part still perplexes me, I guess because I AGREE with you: Is the idea -- that the limits will be removed or more easily circumvented -- based on PMs or some discussion on other boards? Because nothing I've seen posted here or by MCR suggests this is going to happen (not that I've read all the T & Cs). ================================================== === Regarding building a big hoard of points: I wasn't necessarily referenciing you or anyone in particular -- we ALL used to believe we ought to save up all the extra MCR points we could so we could get some of the really nicer expensive stuff although some of it took a year to save for -- and many the time when we got to enough points the item was gone by somebody else getting there first... That said, if you have been watching closely (at least on a weekly basis) over the last three-six month period, there's has NOT been anything ADDED of substantial value or of REAL issue except a short supply of Subway gift cards, and perhaps an occasional AA air travel certificate (with use restrictions) ... but quantity restricted ADDED to certain items; SOME examples: you CANNOT get more than 15 Blockbuster Rent 1-Get 1 Free coupons -- Removal of all Delta Skymiles redemption codes -- Removal of FREE Blockbuster Nite, (Movie, 2 20 oz coke product, and popcorn tub) coupons -- Added restriction to PC points with limit of 2 500-point rewards per 30-day period -- Removal of all 2,000 PC point rewards --- want me to continue? |
Today: MONDAY FEB 16th - MCR System NOT accepting multiple codes beyond the 10 limit
Okay sports fans -- its early Monday morning, February 16, 2009 --
D-Day for the supposed-new-MCR system of being able to post all the MCR points you want to your account up to a total value of 120 MCR points (40 3 point caps -- or 12 10 pock 12-pack codes, or any other combination of MCR points up to BUT NOT EXCEEDING 120 points FOR THE WEEK -- "Ain't so".... as of YET System still has everyone on the 24-hour clock from when you posted your points last... Hmmm... maybe they changed their minds? Well, try later, I guess... Off to see the Wizard of Oz ... Nitey Night, y'all ... or Good Morning you bar-hopping New Yorker party-animals :D ... |
I get all of that, but still wonder why anyone thought the PC limits would be lowered (which did not happen, BTW).
|
May at Noon
Yup. Can't enter codes to the 120 point weekly limit yet. Maybe at noon EST.
