My local supermarket (Waldbaums) has Pepsi 12 oz. can 12 packs on sale this weekend @ 4 for $11, so they do still exist.

I am quite happy with the MCR program. I must say I prefer coke products as does my family. My husband and daughter would take a bath in Coke Zero if I let them, so I would be buying it anyway. I tend to stock up when it's on sale and remove the codes before putting them in the pantry. Over the life of the program I've received 10,000 Hilton honors points, 12,000 PC points, a $25 Simon giftcard, a $5 Subway gift card and 2 pairs of Coca Cola ear buds. I do it with the kids as a lesson in savings. My motto is every glacier starts with an initial snowflake.

Look I've been in the program since Day one; I've done 40K hh and 40K PC (& still counting) and am not happy with the program. My point of view has it that I should have double this under the t&c's that I started with. Now my only soothing though is that I haven't bought/purchased etc the soda for 95% of these codes. Like today the deli in the first floor of our building held five of those 25 point codes for me so I really shouldn't complain but the devaluation still just irks me to the end

Wow- Trojan Horse you hit the jackpot today-you found all those points! It sounds like the glass half empty or half full argument. I guess I don't expect that much so I'm not disappointed. I'm happy with the yearly trips to the Big Island and stays at the Hilton Waikoloa for myself and my family courtesy of AA miles and Hilton points.

Ha ha... I discreetly wait until our company lunch room is empty in the late afternoon and dig through the recycling bin like a homeless person. I usually average 7 or 8 caps per day. ^

Coca-Cola NEEDS to heat your MCR COMPLAINTS !

Hello Y'all !

Should we boycott Coke and or Diet Coke, Barq Root Beer, Sprite, Fanta,
Minute Man drinks and juice, Dasani bottled water, Nestea, etc ?

.....ing, Moaning and or Groaning in this forum-thread may be good
as a stress-reliever, however it doesn't do a bit of good in getting
Coca-Cola information in a timely manner relative to exactly how WE
FEEL about their devaluation of MCR points and the crappy rewards
as well as restrictions placed on any really decent item, like PC points,
for example.

While it's good to share information (or debate opinions) on FT forums,
I'd like to SUGGEST that every one of us, [B]make a personal phone
call/B] [B]to both the Regular Coke Customer Service people at
1-800-438-2653. Also CALL Coke MCR program Customer service,
direct at 1-866-674-2653 -- (Press #4 for Live Person)
and
make your complaints known to get your MCR complaint(s)
DOCUMENTED.

Be sure to get a REFERENCE NUMBER for your call so that you can
follow-up.

If there's a mountain of calls, you can bet that WILL get Coke
mangement's attention that their marketing and promotion departments
aren't up to snuff.

After you call, please share here...

the best way is to just not buy their product at prices you do not like. thats what I do;

it will affect their margins and thats what they will react too

the economy being the way it is only helps our cause; the more that choose alternatives.. the more they will either have to suck it up and lower prices or enhance the promos or I guess there is a 3rd.. which is take it on the bottom line

TH---
NOTHING WILL CHANGE until you put call or write in...

Coke Atlanta franchises out the bottling operations, so not buying
will NOT affect them for many months, more than likely a year or two
before they realize there's a weakness in sales in parts of the country...

Current Safeway deal is Buy 2/Get 1 free on 12 packs

Use the Buy 1/Get 1 Free MCR reward coupon for better deal(s).

totaly agree!
even if a measly 2,000 of us ft boycott coke or even 50,000 of us, it isnt going to affect any margins, coke is way too big and 10's of millions of coke drinkers that dont care about mcr, and etc..... best way is to write or call

Help the economy -- call coke mcr & complain

Help the economy. If we don't call their phone lines and complain
then they will ASSUME that we are just happy workaday clones,
happy with the way the MCR program is runnigthey are...

With our collective lackadasical attitude, there's little wonder,
as to WHY they are not folking-over any NEW decent stuff!

Mike1625 Jan 23, 2009 7:19 pm

First, let me say that I am a loyal diet coke drinker, who is collecting free stuff for the diet coke I would have already purchased.

I will on occasion buy pepsi products if the deal is too good to pass up. Tonight I found one of those deals and I wanted to pass it along.

CVS - sale 5 8 packs of pepsi/dew/Dr. Pepper for $10 ..... then if you spend $20 in pepsi products you get $10 back in extra bucks (gotta have the CVS card, then Extra Bucks are as good as cash, provided you use them). .... and the Dr. Pepper had a $1 off 3 coupons on the boxes.

If you deduct the extra bucks and the two $1 coupons, then I got 10 8 packs for $8. I hope this helps someone out there.

Mike

I don't know, I still think that calling will fall on deaf ears

it won't matter either way

Companies this large just don't care, plain and simple

I agree 100%. Look at the prizes and you will see that most of them are geared towards the 13-24 year old age group. Typically, that demographic is not going to care about the degradation of redemption but is simply pleased to be getting something "cool" for free.

Laid-back won't cut it
