Since this is the first medal won by the "chosen 6" this week, I finally had an opportunity to cash in some codes. I posted my points 15 minutes after Lysacek won his medal. As poorly as MCR has run its program, there is absolutely no way they can claim that what I did is not a a timely redemption of points for this promo, and I do expect them to give me the 25-point bonus.

Check your account--it will list a date for each code entered. I entered 2 codes a few days ago at 11:55 pm EST, and the date showed up as the next day--i.e., it apparently took more than 5 minutes for the code to post.

You are correct, the points are dated the following day, February 19.

It never occurred to me that MCR had possibly set up a promo where you had to guess which Olympians would do well on a given day to take advantage of their promo. I always assumed that you would be rewarded for knowing who had already won a medal.

I guess we'll have to see whether they do the right thing.

Enter 5 codes on Feb 25th. That is the day of the woman's hockey medal games. The US (who Angela Ruggiero plays for) and Canada are head and shoulders above all the other teams (they have faced each other in all 12 world championship finals)!

Well, in Torino 2006, Sweden upset the US in the semifinals, and the US had to settle for a bronze. Sweden and the US are facing off in the semifinals again this year. Hopefully, history won't repeat itself.

But I agree that the US is a virtual lock for some medal.

18 times last week. Perhaps there was just too many redemptions at once. Thought about cleaning out my account but did not. Oh wel, I hope they return and do not leave.

I would guess they will be back at some point.. just build up a balance then redeem as soon as you see the PC points

as long as you are not buying coke products just for the points it should not be much of an issue

Yeah, but here's a dilemma: keep inputting points into one account or hold on to codes and keep opening multiple accounts for 75 bonus points and depositing just 50 points in each for bonus points to kick in. The problem is, if they don't come back with PCR those multiple accounts would be a waste. And if they do, then you would seriously "overpay" for PCR redemptions if redeeming them from one account.

However, check out their website first, and I suppose if you can find a room where you want it at a good rate (although they do have a low fare guarantee), it may be a good deal.

IIRC the (coke) clock goes from 12 noon to 12 noon so any codes entered at 12:01 (EST) on Thursday will be dated for Friday? I put my 5 codes in at 23:00 (EST) on the 24th and they show as being entered as the 25th.

I think you are wrong. Their weekly clock resets at midnight on Saturday EST. So, I think the same goes for entering codes.

Of course I have no codes to type in as I was going to try one at 11:50 (EST) and 12:10 (EST) to see if my account showed different dates. I do know as of 23:00 (EST) last night they were already being post dated the next day.
