Donating Coke Points

If one was to donate MCR points to a charity (I saw the Boys and Girls Clubs on there) could one then deduct the cash value of the points from your taxes?

First, what is the cash value of points, second how will you explain to the irs you donated something you got for free. plus, is this deduction really doing to help your taxes

NO, Nolarchy! The points are not taxable income in the first place, so NO, Nolarchy!

From the My Coke Rewards rules posted on the MCR website:

F: Redeeming Points
6. Any points remaining in an Enrollee's Account at the end of the Redemption Period will be forfeited without compensation. The points have no cash value and are only redeemable for offered rewards via the Program.

Did anyone else get this note back?

In my case I sent them a note saying that I got 10 points even though I had entered 5 codes (my account says that they were entered on 2/19 even though I entered them around 11:30PM 2/18 Eastern time).

They credited me the extra 15 points.

Not sure if this is available to all but for me under the "Pick up points" there is an offer:

Get 20 Bonus Points just for enjoying a free workshop.

This is a workshop at Home Depot. I registered for it. Points have not posted yet to my account.

My wife and I each entered 5 codes on Feb 25, the day that Angela Ruggiero and the US womens hockey team won the silver medal. We initially received no bonus points, but after emails to MCR we each received our 25 bonus points within a couple of days.

The one on Feb 18/19 is a little more complicated. The event started on Feb 18. The gold medal was decided around 12:15AM or so Eastern time when it was Feb 19th on Eastern time and Feb 18th in Vancouver. To this date I am not sure whether the codes should have been entered on the 18th or the 19th to get the bonus points.

I guess oneself could've entered them on 18th AND 19th to have a peace of mind and avoid guessing.

For prior workshops, I believe they gave out codes at the workshop, IIRC.

workshops at Home Depot are usually not a very good deal since a lot of times they just don't teach it. Has anyone had the same experience or agrees w/me?
