From the above reports, it looks like things have changed. Gee, I have 2 acct.s with 700 each which are awaiting the return of the 2Ks. It looks bleak now.

I have 320 points stuck in one account. I'm thinking of redeeming for free coke certs at 30 a piece and then listing those coupons on Listia and using credits to buy back MCR points to use in a different account.

Oh-so-thank-U, AA Novice ^ ! Mary Ann & I just grabbed our 2000-pointers! I was not expecting these until June 1.

I'm stuck in no-man's land at the moment. I have between 200 and 300 accumulated points in one account (which was recently used to redeem a 500-pt reward) with no signficant stash of unused codes. Are people who are redeeming 2000-pt PC rewards today (May 24, 2010) using accounts that had previously been used to redeem 2000-pt PC rewards in early 2010 or 2009?

Since I am seeing evidence of conflicting information, I'm trying to figure out whether I should add to my balance in the future when I get more codes or cut my losses and start creating new accounts for the 500-pt rewards.

yep, the "lifetime" limit was reset in March, when it was listed as one per year. I cashed out today using an account that previously cashed out for the 2,000 :D

That's good to know. Assuming MCR doesn't make another change to the T&C's, I'll go ahead and build up my balance to 630 and cash it out during a time when they make the 2000-pt codes available.

(By the way, the restriction on 2000-point rewards is not per lifetime at the moment, it is just listed as "one per member". That wording is different from the 500-point rewards.)

Darn

Wish I wouldn't have used my points to get the 500 pointers....:(

2Ks came back in mid-April (see above) & sold out Mon. April 26. So I expect them to come back a month after they disappear. If true, entering 120 points per week starting now will prepare one for late June.

So if I redeemed for a 2K award in 2010; then I shouldn't bother trying for another one right now; is that how I understand this?

Am I the only one who thinks that the reason that Coke/PCR have gotten more stringent on their redemption is because people are posting so freely here (and possibly other places) that they game the system with multiple accounts?

I'm sure you are not the only one, but I would argue that MCR is actually encouraging the use of multiple accounts with their random, frequent changes of the T&Cs. It's a lot less risky to create a new account and dump 790 points into it with the intention to cash it in for one 500-point reward and one 2000-point reward than to build up an account that has been used for years and cannot be used for the awards that the customer wants to choose.

Not to mention it looks better on the books. Instead of, say 10 mil members they can claim to have a 100 mil.
