Today I haven't gotten the pop-up box or a diamond in two tries so far.

I have no idea what this all means.

The only pop-ups I get are the one that asks to explore or donate, to log in or another one where you click "explore" in the bottom right corner. I don't hink I ever got a pop-up telling me about a diamond.

day 2 of playing the game. PC with Firefox. A little slow but not too bad. All the families accounts found a 35 pt diamond withing one 360 turn.

That's interesting. I always see it right after logging in, but only at times when I should be able to get a red diamond. For example, this morning I logged in, saw the popup, closed it, and after clicking on "Explore" found a diamond. I then logged out, and logged back in, and there was no red diamond popup. I see it when I log in after 7PM, even though after subsequently finding the diamond I have typically not been able to earn points from it.

The popup has a graphic of the red diamond, and it says (and I wish I could post a jpg): "Earn Rewards for Exploring. My Coke Rewards treasures are randomly placed in the virtual refuge daily. Upon discovery, they can be redeemed for merchandise--including Arctic Home gear--at My Coke Rewards.com or donated back to the Arctic Home effort." The popup comes up over the larger Donate/Explore window.

After first creating an Arctic Home account, I did not see that popup until I had made a donation. I have never found a diamond without seeing the popup first. Conversely, I have seen the popup and not been able to find a diamond.

That was my problem exactly. I reinstalled shockwave flash and could eventually get to the main page using IE or Firefox, but then got stuck on "updating terrain ... please wait" and wait ... and wait ....

With Chrome all I got was error messages about the shockwave flash.

And that was using both my desktop and my laptop.

If there are diamonds anywhere, I will never be able to find them. Nor will I bother donating any more points!

You could be running an old OS. Shockwave is different from Flash. Go to Adobe website and get the latest Flash Player. Make sure you are running the latest Firefox (go to mozdev.org to download the latest one).

The "tracking actual bears" part of the load is horribly slow even with up-to-date Flash software. Sometimes I will just restart the load when it looks like the program is spinning its wheels.

Yesterday evening I got the box and saw the diamond. After many attempts was able to get the 35 points. 4th one so far. This morning I got a box and saw a diamond, but when I clicked on it I was told I had already gotten it and it disappeared. So far today I haven't seen a box or diamond again. Very perplexing.

Check again after 7PM.

OK, so I just logged in, got the pop-up, and found a 35-point diamond. Out of curiosity, I logged out, logged back in & saw the pop-up again. Does that mean that there's also a 70-pointer waiting for me? (which I can't find, by the way.)

Finally got in using my daughter's brand new laptop and found one diamond. When I went back in hours later, I could not find another. Is only one per day usual?

Usually only one per day.

I got the pop-up that told me there should be a diamond, but no diamond. :(

If you got the pop up, go ahead and try to find the second diamond and see if you get the 70 pointer.....after you click on it you may just get the spinning radar that never ends and you will probably need to wait until tomorrow (after midnight) when the game "resets".

I am no expert on this Arctic Home game, but the consensus thought is that you will get one diamond after midnight (or throughout the day), and maybe a second one after 7pm, and the second one usually only "works" (without the never ending spinning radar) on Fridays and Sundays after 7pm......YMMV

If my experience tonight, as well as that of several family members is any indication, 70-point diamonds on Friday evening is an urban myth. :(

Grrrrrrrr........ :)

But seriously, I wonder if we could get a show of hands: how many accounts got 70-point diamonds last night?
