Has anyone tried making two donations from the same account to see if you find more diamonds?

Grrrrrrrr........ :)
But seriously, I wonder if we could get a show of hands: how many accounts got 70-point diamonds last night? |

I too did not find a 70point diamond last night after 7pm. Just a 35 point diamond in the morning.

If you are looking for a very easy way to potentially add literally hundreds of bonus points to your MCR account per week - remember you are limited to entering a max of 120 points per week but you can add an unlimited amount of bonus points - be aware that MCR fans on SD are going bonkers about the current Arctic Home promotion. In a nutshell (as I understand it) if you make a 70 MCR point donation to benefit polar bears via Arctic Home you can then participate in the Arctic Home game where you can find diamonds that are worth either 35 or 70 MCR points (max of 1 each per day). Some SD'ers have reported that they've earned hundreds of bonus points in the short time that this promo has been going on. I know my explanation of this promo is probably confusing, I'd suggest going to this very long SD thread and skip ahead to start reading posts made approx Jan 10 or so as they explain it much better than I can.
I don't know if this falls under your definition of "little cost" but I buy MCR codes from a local vending machine owner that I met a few years ago via a MCR wanted ad I placed on Craigslist, I typically buy a few thousand points at a time. I pay 2 cents per point, I'm totally cool with that price. I have the easiest time using Google Chrome also to access the arctic home. |
I tried on and off all last night to get the 70 pointer past "loading data". No dice. I tried different browsers and different computers.

Just a Heads up 1/25-1/31 Double points for coke zero 12 packs.
If after entering 12 pack code for coke zero you enter certain nabisco crackers upc you get a free entry into BIG GAME sweepstakes.Hopefully you won't have the misfortune of winning free Coke Zero for life:D |
I guess I shouldn't be complaining about a free points promo, but seriously, this game is getting really buggy. I get my free points but man, do they make me work for them! :)

My points this morning didn't post to my MCR account initially, or didn't show properly. Now they do, but upon finding hte diamond and logging into the MCR site, it still showed my old balance.

It also gives you an option to bank them, for some reason that is beyond my comprehension. Perhaps your points are banked at arctichome.com? Try logging in and then go to My Parcel to see if your points are there, awaiting transfer. |

Mike Well, I'll add my two cents. Yesterday made me a believer in Seventy-Point Sundays. Of the five friends and family members who are playing this game, three picked up 70-point diamonds. (I was left out in the frozen tundra, however.) There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to who got it or why. Two people picked up 70-pointers the first time they logged in. Another had to come back a couple of times before hitting the 70. And two people had no luck at all, despite several attempts during the course of the evening. The diamonds they found (presumably 35 pointers) only produced the dreaded "loading data' screen. |

When you got the screen that said you had earned 35 or 70 points, did you click at the bottom where it said (paraphrasing here) "Redeem My Points"? When you click there it takes you to the MCR website, and after logging in it immediately shows you an up-to-date total. I can't tell you if this step is necessary, but I've done it every time since starting this promotion, and it has always worked.

Looks like the 250 MCR Redemption is back at Recycle Bank, though they have increased the price from 750 to 1000 Recycle Bank points.

Food for thought: per the MCR official rules:
...Limit: 1 Account per person, 5 Accounts per household and 10 Accounts per physical address, but only 1 Account per individual, under all circumstances... Bottom line: a household with the allowable max of 5 accounts will earn a total a minimum of 1225 MCR bonus points per week. |
It looks like the Arctichome promo will run through March 15, 2012. This is when the sweepstakes and matching donations end according the MCR site. Can anyone confirm the run time for this excellent promo?
