"Just two years after its launch, the site is one of the most popular consumer packaged-goods sites on the Web."

Either the article is old or inaccurate, but the website has been around for 4 years.

You're right, it's an old issue. My wife was cleaning the house, old unread magazines got piled in with new ones, and it landed in a pile I hadn't read; I picked it up two days ago thinking it was a current issue.

Still, it gives interesting insights into the motivations behind this program.

Anyone else switch from Gatorade to Powerade? I've found it tastes about the same (at least with Lemon-Lime) and it's often cheaper at convienence stores.

thats definitely what I have done

I'm totally powerade

the 32 oz bottles are generally 80 to 88 cents at most food stores where I live vs... a low of $1.00 for Gatoraide; sure certain sales even bring the price lower but on any given day those are the prices

I even buy the 8 packs for my kids as its the same price or less than G/A

I prefer the Grape first and foremost and will drink the blue or orange next; yeah, it all tastes the same to me too

I would prefer that the following code be picked up by someone who has not already used one from here before.

It's cheaper to do 4x500 then 2000. 2000 cost 630 MCR and you can redeem 4x500 for 340 by opening 4 accounts and collecting 75 bonus points for a sign up. In the month of January I've deposited 6500 PC points. One more 1000 is on the way tomorrow.

They haven't figured out that all four of the MCR accounts must belong to the same person and canceled them?

Is 75 points on sign up still valid?

How? PCR redemptions are simply electronic vouchers. I could redeem a voucher and give it to you as a gift to deposit into your account. Absolutely legit. Besides, as soon as I redeem a voucher I no longer use that account.

It's tricky. I think they read IP address and allow one sign up from the same IP per week or per every few days. You wouldn't be able to sign up for two accounts offering 75 bonus points at the same time from the same IP. The next sign up would only offer 20 bonus points for 3 codes redeemed withing 7 days.

I want to try to get PLT Elite on Coke this year (with a stay or two in between and some trades on Points.com) :D

There is no special link. Just a regular sign up and a little bit of luck :)

I think if you sign up with the same IP and same computer address they will catch on.. but if you use different ones for each account you are all set.. OR if you use public computers like in a hotel, kinkos etc.. that also might get around the Coke controls

look up earlier posts to this thread by Boston Bulldog who had many a rant on here about people he felt were beating the system. there were many discussions how to work around the MCR controls

Found the post. Well, again, there are no restrictions known to me that would prohibit giving away vouchers as gifts. Corporations buy those vouchers to give to their employees, customers, etc. So, what makes redemptions on MCR any different? If IP belongs to a company, who is there to say that few hundred employees do not have a right to register on MCR, claim PC voucher and give it to someone else? I think the poster was just pi$$ed that codes ran out fast an he couldn't claim his. I mean, who's going to post at 2:15AM to rant about people taking all the goodies from the MCR?
