Ha! It was one of those evenings I was so encouraged by our early arrival that I might get into bed at my hotel at a reasonable time. But no, we parked on the most remote remote stand and then did the circular bus tour of the airfield. And then the massive queue at immigration because of my P fare. Wasn't a happy bunny.

No, I was arriving from Hong Kong. Tbh my wait was probably about 15 minutes but it felt a lot longer when I was grumpy and jetlagged. Most of the immigration officers fully engrossed in TikTok didn't speed it up either.

The hearts of BA Silvers reading that would skip a beat
- in fact BAEC Silvers are OW Saphires
But no worries, that's sufficient status to get our friend into OW lounges, regardless of class of travel and carrier-imposed "lite" restrictions. But not into QR's: they like to be special, and have never quite captured the full spirit of alliance membership.
So for T1 I think that limits choice to BA and Qantas: opening hours might be the decider.

not for many QR lounges, they have specific lounges for ticket and for status. Status does get access to lounges in SIN for QR customers. but I suspect not to the QR lounge which appears to only be available by ticket type.

Not sure about the spirit of the relationship, but as BA Silver, what i get access to in DOH flying Y on QR beats what I have access to in LHR when flying Y on BA. Yes i do not get access to Al mourjan.

The problem with QR is nobody really knows what the actual policy is. You could go the next day and get waved through. And then you could ask customer services and they'll tell you whatever they think won't get them in trouble.
And the company rep on here will never confirm the policies either.

BA's network of lounges are, with just two exceptions, open to access on the basis of OneWorld status. All QR lounges are all closed to OneWorld status-holders, with the exception of some in Doha airport.
BA operates only two lounges off the OneWorld map. These cater exclusively for first-class and beyond-emerald passengers, one in London the other in New York. At both those locations there are also a number of BA lounges offering access to OneWorld F and J passengers and those with one-world status. Its wider network has a (much reduced!) scattering of BA-operated lounges all of which follow OneWorld rules. The airline's increasingly relying on lounge space operated by partner airlines or third-party providers, but OneWorld access rules regarding status seem to be maintained across these.
(having said that, I'm inevitably going to be pulled up by someone with far deeper knowledge of the subject
)As far as I can make out QR provides lounge access for economy passengers with OneWorld status only in Doha. All the lounges it provides outside Qatar are restricted to revenue passengers travelling in business or first. But, like BA, it uses partner and third-party lounges at other airports. OneWorld partner lounges should be OK for status entry, but Im not sure about third-partes. Travelling QR as an Emerald-in-Y I was refused the splendours of the Garuda lounge at Jakarta because check-in had not provided me with an invitation, because of policy or by mistake I don't know.

I was at Hong Kong last week flying on a P class J fare. I did the document check at the gate because I was using a mobile boarding pass and the agent scribbled "NO LOUNGE" on it. Which is totally incorrect given my status, but even if it was I'd already ravaged the CX Pier First lounge.

Status passengers in Y can use other lounges when travelling on QR though, including third party lounges. Best to ask at check in if it isn't mentioned. Someone a few days ago reported being offered the temporary lounge or a voucher at AMS for example.
