I booked my business class ticket through Amex. I was counting on using the lounge in Doha. How can I tell if I have business lite? Im looking on the Qatar app and it doesn’t seem to classify it !
also do all, or which lounges have a shower?

Look up your reservation on the QR website. If next to BUSINESS for each sector there is a (P), then you have a Lite ticket. Any other letter after BUSINESS (eg. R, I, D, J) then you do not have a Lite ticket..

I booked an upcoming DUB-DOH-HKG with a 3rd party, Booking.com
Its my 1st QR flight and I have to be honest, having heard all the hype about Qatars supposed level of service, I was totally unaware and unprepared for a Ryanair-esque nickel-and-dime Business Lite offering.
At no stage during the Booking.com process was there mention of No Lounge access, and indeed my current itinerary printout from Booking merely states that my class of travel is Business. When I check the QR app, however, my booking has the dreaded P after it. A word to the wise, Avoid the likes of Booking.com like the plague!
Im currently BA Silver (OWSapp)
Having read the esteemed preceding posts, can I deduce that:
i) I have access to the Gold and Silver lounge in DOH?
ii) I can pay a fee to access the AM lounge?
iii) On return, I can access CX lounge in HKG?
Currently MMB only offers me The Oryx to purchase, hence my query about paying for AM.
Additionally, do I get access to the 3rd Party lounge (East Lounge) in Dub?

With BA Silver (OW Sapphire) you have access in DOH to the gold lounge by the A gates and the platinum/gold lounge by the C gates.
paid lounge access to AM yes, but as the ticket is owned by booking.com it may be pay at the desk rather than on qr.com Not sure.

And QR were not the first and are not unique in offering these types of unbundled fares. The fact that consumers use comparison sites like these to search and buy the cheapest tickets kind of means airlines have to match what competitors are doing with their fare types to get their prices down and their results higher up in searches. Otherwise they just look much more expensive, and/or appear several pages lower down in the results, and the price sensitive won't book with them.
These days comparison sites for most sectors are kind of "buyer beware", and it's always worth rechecking on the actual company's website what the package actually includes before pressing pay.
Sorry to read you apparently got caught. Presumably at some point during the booking process it will have indicated a (P) somewhere in the fare / class details before payment. But if a customer does not know what that (P) really means then it's easy to assume they might be buying something else, and OTA's rarely detail the full restrictions and fare rules. So again, it's worth double checking with the airline first, or just booking directly. In my experience it's not unusual to be able to find the inclusive fare for less than the unbundled fare when booking direct, either through some special offer or by using a discount code.

I didn't realise but if you're on a P fare you also don't get access to the fast track immigration at DOH. Had to do the walk of shame back to the regular immigration queue, where there isn't a priority queue.

Ha! It was one of those evenings I was so encouraged by our early arrival that I might get into bed at my hotel at a reasonable time. But no, we parked on the most remote remote stand and then did the circular bus tour of the airfield. And then the massive queue at immigration because of my P fare. Wasn't a happy bunny.

yes, walked the walk of shame myself, BUT... I believe there is an extra queue for business class customers at general immigration? (at least I remember seeing that sign, AFTER I stood for 45 min in the normal queue...

There is a screen above a desk that says business/first class but there's no actual line/ access to it. The desks at that end of immigration weren't staffed anyway. I asked one of the queue wardens who told me there was just one queue.
