But no worries, that's sufficient status to get our friend into OW lounges, regardless of class of travel and carrier-imposed "lite" restrictions. But not into QR's: they like to be special, and have never quite captured the full spirit of alliance membership.

So for T1 I think that limits choice to BA and Qantas: opening hours might be the decider.
i modified my post regarding BA Silver, my bad!!

Not sure about the spirit of the relationship, but as BA Silver, what i get access to in DOH flying Y on QR beats what I have access to in LHR when flying Y on BA. Yes i do not get access to Al mourjan.
