Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Don't have Q15, but other Bose headphone models needed an adapter to work. The original adapter included with some of the models worked and fit fine.

Looks like the PHL-DOH flight got downgraded and now isn't Q-suites anymore. What's the likelihood that it'll be back to Q suite in a couple months?

We were on PHL flight for next month and got downgraded so switched to another carrier (award ticket), and of course a few weeks later they brought QSuite back, or so it seems. They seem to be alternating days when it's non-Qsuite in May at least. Frustrating as my new way to Vietnam is slightly longer via Singapore but on the upside I'm on Singapore Airlines now.

How did you switch and book another one? Did you get the Q suite flight refunded or was it a free switch?

We're on PHL-DOH on May 25, so here's hoping it stays Q Suite. The seat map still shows Q Suite but our DOH-JNB got downgraded to a standard 359, so not the worst thing. 2-2-2 though PHL-DOH would however be unpleasant.

Also, as a general question, does anyone know how often DOH-IAD gets swapped out? We're booked on that in June and so far it has stuck as Q Suites on the 77L.

QSuite Availability No Longer showing!!???

I have just had an extremely frustrating experience with Qatar!!! I was attempting to book Qatar Airways QSuite from Doha to Seattle, and there was one available for 70,000 Avios in Business class. As soon as I started booking, I noticed it got my birthdate wrong, so I went back to fix, but it didn't allow me. So I decided to close the page to start my booking again. AUTOMATICALLY the booking it disappeared! And now it is showing up for 2x Avios. Can someone please help me here and let me know what I can do. Is the award going to show up again? I didn't even book it...

I have had this happen with them, give it a few hours and they will re-appear if no one else has booked them.

Are you 100% sure? This was one hour ago, and it is still showing up as Flexi Awards?

The thing is the booking didn't disappear. It just automatically became 2x Avios.

You put a hold on that inventory by commencing the booking. It should hopefully come back when it is released, but someone else may also book it.

I'm flying LHR-DOH-DPS in 2 & ½ weeks on a award ticket... and I was just re-selecting my seats for the flight and I noticed DOH-DPS (QR960 on the 14/05) seat map has changed to 'Q-Suites' (from the old 2-2-2 config). The seat map is showing business class rows 1-6 (total 24 seats) - it also shows "the quad" icon etc.

If I try and book the flight on the QR website the graphics are still the old 2-2-2 config (assume the web assets haven't updated yet) but the seat map shows the same layout as I see in 'seat selection'.

However I can't find any seat map on Seat Guru etc which matches this config. Has anyone seen this IRL? I've googled it but nothing obvious shows up... just wondering if it really will be a Q Suite plane?

AT THE MOMENT it is the high density 77W with 6 rows of QSuites.
Forget Seatguru and use AeroLOPA here.
