Good find.

A lot of the fares were loaded in yesterday, and I picked up a few ex-CDG flights without realising it was part of a new Sale!

Worth noting that the Minimum Stay has increased to 7 days for J - usually it is 3 or 5 in the Sales.

I'm seeing £897 at the cheapest; where are you getting that fare?

are you just putting dates and destination into the QR site, or using google flights/ITA matrix?

anyone spotted anything to sri lanka or Asia from LHR/AMS/BRU/CPH etc?

This page might help.

For example (round-trip, business):
AMS-BKK: EUR 1,160
CPH-BKK: EUR 1,200 (approx)

Sale blackout dates

Newbie, so unsure if this is the correct place to post , but are the Xmas holidays ever in the sale pricing or are they always the blackout dates? I'm looking at this Christmas and not flying out until after 17th December (returning New Year). Possibly a J flight from AMS - HKG - SIN - LHR - OSL and am seeing approx €2200 - is this likely to ever be in the sale pricing? Btw, looking for 7 seats - best booking now at that rate?

Hi Villauk and welcome to the QR Forum on Flyertalk.

The current Sale fares are for travel upto 17th December, so this Sale won't be for you.

QR run sales right through the year, on an almost weekly basis! In terms of the best Sale fares, these are usually in the Global Sale, which comes up halfway through the year. At that stage, I am sure you will find affordable fares for your routing.

However, it never hurts to check around just to be sure. It is quite likely that people have already started booking for Christmas and New Year trips, even without a Sale, so be cautious and if you see a fare within budget, take it.

Stick around, and let us know how you get on!

Safe travels,

M

Never been on qatar before so I have two questions regarding transit.

1. Does qatar only provide accommodation when booking direct?
2. If there is a long layeover of 18hours and the only other available option is a flight to CPH (instead of OSL) with a connection on SAS to OSL (bookable on qatar website) will qatar refuse to provide accomodation?

can't find a date for AMS-BKK at EUR 1.160 for less than one month travel

best I can find is EUR 1.736

CDG-BKK at Eur 1350 might be a good deal however.

How does it count though ?

If I booked, economy ARN-BKK return with platinum status you will get 15,354 miles, does it means 15,354 x 3 = 46,062 miles for economy ?

Business 27,636 x3 = 82,908 ??

Are QMiles any good though?
When I checked, it seemed like there were very few awards available...

I'm going to fly with them Europa-SEA and back in March and I was planning to credit the miles to BA for OW status... With this promo, maybe it would make more sense to credit both trips to QR? (Provided I book this offer now, I'm not sure I can afford it.)
