Do not call the airlines under any conditions! This is the fastest way to kill the trick and bring unwanted attention to your itinerary! And do not post precious deals in this thread, this is by far the fastest way to kill the trick!

************************************************** ******
This is NOT the right place to ask: "Can you help me with a low fare for AAA-BBB?" This is not the beg-it thread, but the trick-it thread.

This thread deals with unique combinations of routes and booking tricks in order to lower prices on airline fares. Prices that would astound the general public are often achieved by the posters in this thread.

Many people, including airline representatives, monitor this thread. For that reason, it is unorganized, very content heavy, often lacking details, and written in shorthand. It takes patience and effort in order to understand the conversation and be able to participate as an active member.

We encourage you to read the entirety of this thread if you would like to get started and to experiment as soon as you understand the gist of Trick It. Lots of time spent reading, practicing, and learning is the only way to be able to reproduce our tricks and discover new ones yourself. There are many, many people who ask for advice here, so productive members are only able to help those who have shown a concerted effort and progress over a long period of time (months).

If you have no idea what this thread is about, a good place to start are various blogs' posts on the subject. At the very least, read the Rules for posting in this thread. They're also listed in the very first post, below.

It is not from a lack of time/investment. Problem is I need a little more hand holding which I am confident I can repay with discoveries at a later date using the methodology.

Agree on T.May, coming from australia has been a shock. I thought UK had it's .... in order

Booking More Complicated Trips?

I'm trying to maximize a simple 3X dump to take advantage of stopovers and adding a cheap 1 way to my real desired destination. It prices out fine in ITA but book w/matrix doesn't accept the paste. If I go right to the OTA it chooses to piece together a bunch of airlines different from what ITA shows. Same thing happens on three different aggregate sites.

If I keep the trip simple as A B A C D it all works out even lower then I expected. Any tips to get everything I want on 1 ticket?

Without knowing your alphabets nobody will be able to provide you an answer. Some OTA will be pricing a simple RT differently..or not show the desired airline pairs at all..and here you are talking about 4 city pairs..and probably a strike as well.

OTAs sometimes have logical reasons of not showing an itinerary..and sometimes they timeout just too early..like ITA. It may sometimes require a deep knowledge of GDS and the pricing engines (that the OTAs work with)..to understand why or why not..one shows A+C and another one shows B+D airline pairs. It may sometimes be just a POS issue or that airline has actually restricted availability in certain POS.

Another tip: Do not use bookwithmatrix.. you might be leaking your dumps inadvertently. Bookwithmatrix is just guiding OTAs to find what you need, and if you are really pro at details.. you can do the same yourself.

Both Peninsula Nation and Island Nation have these prices. Mainland nation much lower.
Residents of the city approximately 120 km from where a classical composer was born in 1811 will be particularly pleased.

Is the island country in C3s or C3e? For C2w - C3e island, I could dump €316 fare (only on certain OTAs, ITA shows higher price) to €262 with 3x in C2e. But I have yet to figure out how to dump it further (find a better 3x somehow?)
