Do not call the airlines under any conditions! This is the fastest way to kill the trick and bring unwanted attention to your itinerary! And do not post precious deals in this thread, this is by far the fastest way to kill the trick!
************************************************** ******
This is NOT the right place to ask: "Can you help me with a low fare for AAA-BBB?" This is not the beg-it thread, but the trick-it thread.
This thread deals with unique combinations of routes and booking tricks in order to lower prices on airline fares. Prices that would astound the general public are often achieved by the posters in this thread.
Many people, including airline representatives, monitor this thread. For that reason, it is unorganized, very content heavy, often lacking details, and written in shorthand. It takes patience and effort in order to understand the conversation and be able to participate as an active member.
We encourage you to read the entirety of this thread if you would like to get started and to experiment as soon as you understand the gist of Trick It. Lots of time spent reading, practicing, and learning is the only way to be able to reproduce our tricks and discover new ones yourself. There are many, many people who ask for advice here, so productive members are only able to help those who have shown a concerted effort and progress over a long period of time (months).
If you have no idea what this thread is about, a good place to start are various blogs' posts on the subject. At the very least, read the Rules for posting in this thread. They're also listed in the very first post, below.

Could you please elaborate better your thoughts without repeat by memory an old rule that seems not applicable nowadays?
Assuming that I booked one month ago the c1-c2 RT in J for 120€ and a few days ago someone sold and shared the trick forcing the airline to change the fare rules and the OTA/airline to cancel the tickets, why can't I notify the airline before the blog starts the mass selling helping me and other experts to fly and leaving the blog with the dry mouth and a possible legal problem with customers who paid for an ebook that doesn't work?
It seems a win-win situation to me.
I'm listening...

How can I hurt myself if the airline will fix the fare rules anyway because of the mass-selling?

Taking into consideration what happened with this c1-c2 J trick, I'm still waiting for another point of view instead of "DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE" screaming....

Interesting but if I'm right in the first post I wrote "Next time, I'm not sure what I will do when they will going to announce the sale of a new "valuable" dump. [...]"

as ive already said, many of their eBooks have not killed the trick. you'd be stupid to call the airline.
you really think your call to a random CS agent is going to lead to a fare rule change within minutes or even hours??
Will take at least a couple of days which by then SF usually stops selling their eBooks anyway.
its a lose lose outcome. SF still make their money. we all lose a trick thanks to your call.

Probably only the one who has +10 years of FD experience can understand what I'm talking about.

By the way, one FTers that you were challenging during the last 10 years (was funny to read this ''cat fight'' in the forum archives) is not here unfortunatly to tell us about his thoughts on this damned situation.
Feel afraid of posting trick. Don't want the trick the end up on..you know where and trick killed!

Look I get that, but experience aside, if it gets killed and cancelled you do understand SF loses nothing right? They still make their money. No refunds.

I'm with jorun on this. Something needs to be done to undermine SF. I'm not sure exactly what but if SF is continued unchecked there will be no dumps left... We all know the admins stance on award tricks in here so without dumps what would we have left?

by the time your phone call leads to a fare rule change, SF would have already sold dozens of their non refundable ebooks.
im done with this debate

You can't sell something knowing in advance that it doesn't work. It's a matter of time before consumer authority will investigate the "seller" conduct.
You can't mislead people by stating that a fuel dump is secret when it's available on the airline's social network page. There are plenty of ways to turn blog followers into angry customers who want their money back because of scams.
It's funny but you will never be an FD expert because all of your posts fall within the definition of "think inside the box".
To be a good FD expert and to take advantage of any possible tricks (award tricks, fuel dump, routing mistake, use a Regulation against the airline, etc...) you must think "outside the box".
The rule "DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE" was made years ago by experts who shared and kept tricks sustainable. This rule worked in the old days when there were no blogs.
Nowadays, this rule must be reconsidered in light of what is happening. There is no more "sustainable", there is no more "secret", and there is no more "homework".

Wouldn't the easiest way to decrease their sales be to monitor the blog and (upon release) just openly publish the FD for free somewhere else and draw attention to that? do this a couple times and people would opt for the free option over paying them (and hopefully dissuade SF in the process of hunting down/selling tricks). If SF is using some form of cloud compute (i.e. AWS) to search for dumps/strikes at scale, then they are relying on the sales from the ebook to offset their compute costs (which can accrue fairly quickly). So in that regard a few rounds of this without people buying the ebook would hurt their bottom line to a degree. Or maybe this is just a zillennial thought and they're more likely just getting everything from this thread as you all suggest.
Yes it will still probably kill the trick, but IMO a better solution than calling the airline? at least consumer wins as opposed to corporate.
